Disc has Shields, DA, Inspriation. Lots of tools a druid don't got :P

There are a lot of factors that intervene in that. Shields not counting for damage done is a very, very high factor in it. Resilience values also change things a lot. And Damage dealt mesures quite a few in an arena match. Arena is about control. Maybe the druid knew how to avoid contact and damage, having the paladin cycloned for quite a bit, and possessing much better kiting tools than a ret? The way the match was done matters a lot, really.

Priest and paladin shields. You have to break the shield to get damage down. The other paladin could have also been spamming SS when it drops while you weren't.
And the priest should have been fearing and mana burning you and the druid, which should reduce your output, and make you useless once you are oom.

1. Like everyone has said, shields make a huge difference.
2. Ret Aura- It's not a ton per hit, but it does add up. If you are hitting him and no one is hitting you for most of it, then his ret aura will have done way more to you.
3. Pain Suppression- 40% less taken is huge.
4. Resilience difference
5. Divine Protection- half dmg taken for 12 secs (yes you have this, but did you use it)
just some ideas.

CC is more important then total damage done. Most healer/dps combos do not lose due to damage done to them, they lose because one of them was taken out of the match long enough through polymorphs, saps, stuns, cyclones, interrupts, fears, and whatever else until the other partner was killed. My comp may do less damage then the other team we face, but it usually CC's almost twice as much, thereby controlling the fight, allowing us to defeat our opponents.
The exception to this rule was Paladin/DK of S5, which had so much anti-CC and 'oh !@#$' buttons it was insane. Despite this my comp, warlock-shaman still regularly farmed them.

Are you suggesting that he tunnels the Priest? Because the Ret will own his Druid.
I think at the moment resto tanks ret pretty easily.
However, tunnel visioning isn't the wise thing to do either way.
The main way to play with a druid(or at least the way I played) is once you've forced the healer to trinket, get the DPS fairly low and cyclone the DPS to prevent heals, at the same time switching to the healer. Before cyclone ends CC the healer, and go for the kill on the DPS.
Cyclone can effectively be 24 seconds of 0 healing done to a target if you switch back and forth and they've used their trinkets, but half of that you won't actually be able to DPS your kill target, but during that time you can attempt force the healer to blow CCs and CDs, etc. making them less capable of saving their DPS.
