Finally got 68.. off to Northrend, with some questions...
Return to board index
So, I finally got Level 68, which means I can go to Northrend with my death knight. I am an unholy tank spec (for when I am invited to instances), but of course I enjoy questing and doing PvE between runs to get my levels.
I have a few questions regarding my character.
For reference, this is my armory:
Okay. So, there are pretty much two zones I can decide to start in for Northrend. Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord. Which zone do you recommend to start in in terms of ease to discover and run around in, and for having an abundance of quests?
If I want to stick with a tank build (which makes the most sense, I think), should I stay with Unholy, or should I go with Frost? Which does more DPS? Like I said, I do a lot of PvE and questing when I am not doing instances and because Blood Presence gives me back health for damage I do, choosing a tank build that does more DPS is essential.
Thanks in advance for the advice.
I didn't really see a huge difference between Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord although I did borean first then moved over the howling. I liked borean tundra better because it didn't have the hills that you have to navigate around.
As for your DK, I noticed a huge difference in my dps when I went from my frost to unholy tank spec in the 60's. I haven't gotten to your point but I assume the trend continues. Unholy is great for tanking in WotLK because so much of the instances require just a straight aoe taunting style instead of CC.
Either way, both specs will be viable and its your choice, but I think that unholy would be more beneficial especially for the aoe capabilities and the dps increase when soloing.
Hope this helps.
