Spellpower increase + DOTs

Hello, I have a purely warlock question:
Let's say I have UA, Corruption, Agony, Haunt and Immolate on a target. All ticking and still (lets say) 30 seconds left on all my dots.
Then Flow of Knowledge procs, my spellpower increases by 590, wich should have a noticable increase in the DOT ticks, but it does not seems to work that way.. is it?
Are the DOTs total damage calculated when you first cast it then divided by the number of seconds and is no way connected to your spellpower, so even if your character increases his spellpower it has no effect on your current DOTs ?
This means that.. if Flow of Knowledge procs, hurry up and re-cast all your DOTs, right?
And would mean that Flow of Knowledge is way overrated for warlocks.. In arena when it procs, it's easily noticable by your oponnent (the blue glow over yourself) and if they CC you, then the proc is wasted and the trinket is kinda useless.
It is still very good for Mages since they can probably output some instant spells before getting CC'ed..
Waiting your toughts,
thx !

what I have gathered from other threads and what not, is that like an increase in sp doesn't effect attacks already on the target, just what is cast after the increase

easy rule to remember:
buffs on
you
need to be in place when the spell is
cast
.
debuffs on
your target
need to be in place when spell's damage is
done
what this means is that buffs to your spellpower or damage output need to be on you when you cast your spells but the DoT ticks that occur after the buff wears off will still be increased. DoT tick damage is calculated at cast.
(buffs on you include: lightweave, trinkets, life tap(glyph), meta, demonic pact, totems, etc.)
debuffs on your target, however, only need to be there when the damage is actually done so you could cast corruption, let it tick twice, cast CoE and the remaining 4 ticks will get the 13% increase.
(debuffs on your target include: CoE and the moonkin/unholy equivalents(+13%spell), ISB and equivalents(+crit), haunt etc.)

Thanks alot for your quick replies everyone.
So as I tough, the spellpower coefficient is calculed at cast, so you'd need to re-DOT all targets when your spellpower is increased temporary.
With that said, I personnally think Flow of Knowledge is overrated for Warlocks. I will then buy
Battlemaster's Bravery
instead, since I don't have time in arena to DOT again everything from scratch within 10 seconds.
Thanks for your help guys!
Note: Gorefriend, I know theres no more 30sec ticking dots, I said "(let's say) 30 seconds" it was just for theorycrafting.

well, the trinket choice is really down to whether you need the resilience or not. there's no question that the bravery will give you higher output but that's not the only concern in PvP.
also, while you're right that you would need to recast the DoTs in order for them to benefit from the proc, that doesn't mean that it's necessarily a good idea to do so.
you could potentially lose a complete tick of corruption (for instance) if you recast right before it was about to tick meaning almost 6 seconds without damage.
that tick could potentially be more damage than your whole next cast will gain from having the added proc (it's unlikely in PvP gear with the lower overall SP level than PvE but possible) and also you lose a lot of efficiency - if you have concerns about mana in your arena fights.
i have no interest in PvP so i'm sure a more enthusiastic PvPer here can give you some solid advice.

Holy Christ I never knew this. Glad I'm not raiding as affliction any more, because this would do my head in with all my trinkets and lightweave procs.

when you use haunt the 'refreshed' corruption is recalculated with current buffs.
