Eviscerate
I was discussing with a guildiee about this move and he advised against my using it as mutilate because i'm using daggers, and this move is based on the weapon's damage/speed (not dps). Since the tooltip doesnt say anything about weapon damage, just AP, i told him that two weapons, regardless of type/speed would hit for the same, assuming equal ap on both.
Who's right?
also, i know i should be using envenom/rupture as mutilate specced while dpsing, but this discussion is about leveling/pvp, with my not always having enough DP stacks to use envenom to its fullest, where as Evisc is solely based on ap and target armor.

Eviscerate has it's place. I'm often the one assigned to dispel the enrage on Gluth in Naxx. I replace DP on my OH with Anesthetic Poison instead. With no hunters and no other rogues, there's no poisons being placed on the boss, so I'm left with Eviscerate to refresh SnD. Don't completely discredit it.

Indeed something like. It's either 12, 13 or 14 for off-hand i forget which.
/equipslot 13 name_of_alt_dagger_with_anesthetic_poison
/cast shiv
on your main spam:
/equipslot 13 nameofmaindagger
/cast mutilate
While on the subject of Gluth there's no real reason u can't stick crippling on another spare off/main-hand dagger.
Having the /equipslot setup on your main spam attack is handy for moments like attempted punking during fishing daily etc also. It just makes sure whenever u need to do damage the right weaponary is equipped.
On the original topic: Indeed a 0.0000001 dps dagger with +100 Agi would vastly beat out a 100000dps dagger with 1 Agi for the purpose of eviscerate damage calculation.

If you're an assassination rogue, why would you replace Deadly on your OH? Just put Anesthetic on your MH and leave the Deadly on the OH? Your DPS shouldn't suffer any noticeable difference.
Because the last time I ran Naxx was before Deadly Poison got a huge buff. I don't know if IP is still vastly out-performing Deadly or not, but I took more of a DPS loss on Gluth if I replaced IP rather than Deadly. Also, no Shiv for me, I let the speed of the weapon handle it.
