I'm curious if anyone else is running this comp on a competitive level? My previous arena partner (frost mage) quit the game, so I figured I'd give Rog/War a go since it seemed like an usual comp for this season. We just finished this week with a 154 rating increase, and a 54% win ratio for the weak (I joined mid week, games played with me and the war were something like 70% win), which is a lot higher than I was expecting. Granted the team has just hit 1668 rating, so it's not in the higher brackets yet, but the team was sitting at around 1514 before I started playing on it, and we've pushed it that high in about 40 games with almost no difficulty at all.
A lot of people seem to be caught off guard by the comp (I think they're assuming I'm a druid when they see the warrior, and thus not ready for the double dps burst). I have yet to come across another rog/war this season outside of myself, and I was wondering if anyone else actually runs this setup at any competitive level.
Also, anyone have any good ideas on how to deal with a Frost DK / Ret Paladin with this team? It seems every time we see one of these we're better off just bending over and getting it done with so we can get on to the next game.

It's not so much the bop that wrecks us, it's the BoP and Bubble combo. When they both end up shieleded we're kind of screwed. With solo ret teams (ret / warlock, ret / druid, etc.) we just rip the ret down, force the bubble, shatter it, and kill the ret. Sadly, this doesn't work on a frost dk / ret team because what will happen is one of us will die to the frost DK in that time frame (usually my warrior because he doesn't have the crazy avoidance I do at the start of the match). I suppose we'll just have to deal with taking the loss :P
Honestly though, War / Rogue has been the most fun I've had in arenas since season 1. It's an engaging setup to play (it functions almost exactly like rogue / mage in terms of strategy), but it's also unique and so off the wall that a lot of people tend to just sit there and WTF at us for a bit.
Granted it's not without its issues, the rage cost on shattering throw has really been a problem for us (saving 25 rage for that thing is incredibly hard to do when your strat boils down to 'rip one apart, then double team the other one'). Thankfully that's getting fixed next patch.
I'm almost glad no one is really playing it in high brackets... That means if we DO get up there, we'll have a huge element of surprise ^_^
