I don't raid that much but have always found good information from
Bosskillers
, wowwiki, and here on wowhead. Youtube videos help as well if you can find them from your class prospective.

lol, no matter how many times I watch a video and see a diagram it's never the same as actually running it and even wiping a few times :)
Not that you shouldn't watch the videos though... I think the ideal situation is to run allot of these fights on 10 man (if guild progression in 25 mans is the target) to get an idea of what's going on.
Sometimes 10 mans fights are different to 25mans fights. You can't always do what you've just suggested.
