It really depends on how you're playing your lock, but I would say that while levelling, it is no longer the class defining mechanic. You want to get spellpower first. *THEN* Stamina. ;p J/k>
Int has become more important for locks of all specs, as the additional crit helps your dots if you're affliction and your crit rate if you're not.
Stamina is still good to have, because it is essentially your backup mana pool. I don't mention it for your life total, because as affliction, I'm almost always full on life anyways, mana is the only real problem.
I'd still rate stamina a bit higher than spirit. I don't spend much time out of the 5 second rule as affliction, it's a constant move to dot up another target.
Check out the new affliction tree. The change to siphon life made levelling affliction even easier, as your life drain comes automatically off of your corruption, which your whole tree buffs. If you get enough of the tailor-made spell power gear for your level, you can do some pretty rediculous things as you level.
Enjoy!

Hes wrong. When leveling, these are how you should be balancing stats:
For affliction:
Spellpower > Stamina > Spirit = Int = Crit = Haste
For Demonology:
Spellpower = Stamina > Spirit = Int = Crit = Haste
When you hit
level 62
, Spirit becomes better than Int/Crit/Haste.

You guys may be thinking about different levels than I am.
From the time you get your siphon life talent onward, your HP should pretty much never drop that much. Spellpower helps a lot with this. You don't even need to life tap that often, since most mobs die with 3 spells. And when you do, having multiple mobs with Corruption on them + one mob being drain lifed refills it pretty darn quickly).
Stamina doesn't help the affliction tree that much at all.
As for haste vs. crit, those stats aren't really available very often below 60, which I considered his question to be directed at.
Post 60, where you can actually get the other stats:
Hit to hit cap, Spellpower > Spirit (after 62, before it is at the bottom)> (haste vs. crit tossup) > Stam > Int *for affliction*
Stam just isn't that important for affliction; you'll get enough of it on your gear as you go that your health won't be much of an issue.
