it's not good enough for PvE. it's damage isn't high enough to be worth interrupting your usual AoE for and the stun isn't useful.
so deep into the destro tree, talent points are far too precious to spend on a talent like shadowfury.
not good aoe. definitely not good single target. easily skippable.

It was good for proccing MC when you're aoeing a huge pile of adds, but since MC is in demo, it's not useful anymore.
ex: pop shadow fury, hit 10 mobs or so, get MC procced, do RoF, do xx% more dmg.

Let's see what I can make up in the talent calculator. Give me a few minutes.
0/13/53
- 5 points to spare. These are the core talents you'd want for a good destruction raiding build.
3/13/53
- Here I've picked out 3 points in our beautiful talent Suppression. This helps alot and also allows you to skip some pesky pieces of hit gear that you can replace with something more tasty. This leaves us with 2 talent points to spare.
Personally, I'd choose
3/15/53
. I gain Soul Link and Fel Domination. With a few weeks of Ulduar experience, I've noticed that Soul Link is a very very good skill, since it reduces all the AOE damage you recieve with 20% and helps you survive. A DPS that lives is a better DPS than one that's dead. Also, Fel Domination for those times you go "Oh f*** my Imp died".
I'd say that SL is a needed talent to make some encounters a bit easier and take some strain off the healers, since Ulduar is a really crazy place to heal up.
This leaves us with one choise. Either grab Fel Domination, or Shadowfury. I can only think of two places where Shadowfury is useful in Ulduar. Trashbots on XT-002 Deconstructor or Iron Dwarfs in the Razorscale or Thorim encounters. Anywhere else that talent point would be a slight waste of utility.

Are the little flowers on Freya stunnable?
Might be! :o
Anyway, you get the point. ⌐_⌐

Shadow fury usually being skipped is based on the stupid notion of optimizing single-target Boss DPS above everything and anything else.
It's actually a very good talent for raiding and can turn a wipe into a boss kill much more often than a tiny little bit of more DPS can.
Slightly comparable to the original DK unholy aura giving +15% movement speed to the whole raid. There used to be some people seriously arguing those were wasted points. ( L2P/Think @them.
)
Regarding shadowfury uses, besides the obvious ones on much of the trash, possibly save other raid members with the stun, or to take away tank damage, there are many more uses not only in Naxx, but also in Ulduar, on Bosses:
Razorscale: Saving Healers, DPS or Tanks by stunning the small adds.
Ignis: I don't remember if the constructs are stunnable, if they are, same as above of course.
Deconstructor: Especially useful here, since the adds must not reach the boss.
Iron Council: Useable to interrupt Brundir, or prevent the Lightning whirl after an overload until melees are there to interrupt.
Kologarn: Valueable against the rubble adds. Makes it easier for the tank to get them. (Use *after* the shockwave for a warrior.)
Auriaya: I'd guess the swarm of cat-o-adds are stunnable. Useful.
Thorim: Lots of stunnable Adds in this boss fight!
Freya: Same as above.
In practice much can and does go wrong in Raids, shadowfury is very useful for a single talent point to compensate some of it. Not only that, but every time you stun something with it, you take pressure of your healers (if your healers aren't under pressure often, you might want to consider raiding with less :P ).

In 10man with 2 keepers alive,
no.
I did this a couple of hours ago, and my fellow lock Nedriar from my guild have the talent, and they are not stunnable by Shadowfury. I do not know if this has to do with the keepers or not, but I'd say no.

/sigh
that is why punctuation is important.
the tanks job is to keep threat and take as little damage as possible. the healers job is to keep people alive. your/our job is to do lots and lots of damage. this should, at all times, be our primary concern.
if dps is maximised and we have points left over then you can start looking into ways to prevent wipes or make raiding more efficient. this may be through demonic embrace or soul leech to keep yourself alive. it may through improved healthstones or improved soul leech. it may be through shadowfury. once the core talents are complete each player can make a judgement on what they think will improve the raids chances the best.
shadowfury certainly has it's uses but it's not the magical 'iwin' button sparta is making it out to be.
on a separate note, how has this 'stream of conciousness' bulls*** posting become the norm around here? sparta that was almost entirely unreadable and incomprehensible doesn't mix well with condescending. it just makes you look like a fool with an axe to grind.
