But i need your help! =]
After dinging 80 about a week or so ago from this very day, i decided to farm until my eyes bled to get gold so i can pimp my newly dinged tank out in epics.
After spending Stupid amounts of gold buying and crafting nearly every available piece of blacksmithing gear, while having some pretty sweet "leveling" tanking gear i thought, hey lets go do some heroics.
Unfortunatly, My unbuffed health is 23.8k unbuffed at the moment. As soon as i join a group for a heroic instance i get a swift kick and a tell saying "u suck l2playnub"
Now i dont really care for groups like that anyway, but after spending a rediculous amount of gold and hours gearing myself up just to find out im not "heroic" ready, is quite painful and degrading. Im not sure if anyone has experienced this problem but im overgeared, and need nothing from normal instances (unless a new weapon but they are a very minimum upgrade) but im undergeared for heroics.
I dont know how to get my gear up to scratch without farming heroics which im supposedly undergeared for :(
Any tips and advice are very much appreciated =]
Also armoury link
here
and spent even more gold/effort tonight on crafting some more gear that might not show up for a while
=]
Edit: replaced the level 76 ring with
This
with a 24 slot gem in
Also chucked an eternal belt buckle in so i could activate my meta

I don't know enough about warriors to comment on your build and I'm not going to take the time to figure out exact upgrades, but I did notice that your Wrath reps are quite lacking. You may want to look into those rep vendors for gear upgrades and shoulder enchants to decide where to focus your dailies and championing.

You're fine for a heroic - little short on the HP, but not excessively so. If you can get in a group with a priest and/or paladin you'll be fine. As it goes, on entering a heroic group, tanks are usually judged by their health bars - stick commanding shout on before you join, keep it on for the duration of the instance, seeing a tank with 25k health is a lot more comforting than seeing one with 23 and generally the buff will go unnoticed.

Thanks for the reply timmeh, ill chuck commanding shout on and maybe carry round a few health food buffs etc before joining a group expecting a 30k unbuffed raid tank =]

I think you are ready for heroics, as you said, flasks and food should help a lot, try to keep an eye on your health, since CC is gone, people expect tanks to be geared, for warriors may be a little bit simple, you charge in + SS + thunderclap then shield block, if you are getting owned save your shockwave CD to give some time to your healer; Spell reflection help as well.
Run H AN everyday you have 2 loots from there and you can also buy the bracers from emblems of valor, in my server they go for 500g or so, the cloak from LW, the crafted gun and Signet of Accord are cheap too.
In general, all crafted / BOE stuff will get you into a 10 naxx maybe a 25, however, you will have to farm a lot, try to dont farm gold, farm the mats, since you dont have profs, ask a friend, or just LVL a profession -.-!
BS and JC are the best you can have as a tank

ehm.. your gear seems fine enough.. heck, when everyone dinged 80 we were doing heroics with barely def capped tanks with around 21k ish hp.. it works fine if you know what youre doing..
one thing i would complain about is the lack of enchants / belt buckle ;) not really a good thing.. a stam gem in a belt buckle is another few hundred hp, etc... (heck, if you want to be really cheap, get the stam armor kits.. )
spec looks fine to me..
i just recently picked up tanking with dual spec (have to see all sides of the char) and find it quite "simple".. even though you have to be constantly alert.
charge -> tclap -> shield slam -> tabbing through with SS / revenge, and spamming t-clap and cleave... somewhere along the line ill use shockwave of course...
it also helps marking at least the first two targets.. if dps starts before they see you have aggro, then theyre causing problems.
one other thing: if you need it, use CC... its there for a reason. i know usually you dont NEED it, and ppl like to just aoe away, but if it will prevent a whipe - by all means, use it.

You aren't wrong... I remember the first WotLK heroic I tanked was about 5 days after release, so just about everyone had only just dinged 80 and thought we'd wander into heroic UK for a laugh. Both myself and the healer were still predominantly in our T6/SWP gear, I was crittable, he had around 1k spell power. We still cleared it with no great drama, as you said, people just don't expect to have to work in a heroic and just want to be carried - any uncrittable tank with a reasonable health pool should have no problems as long as the healer knows what they're doing.

Your best bet is to ride through the cheap shot then trinket the instant the kidney shot lands and slap a rend on, followed by a hamstring if you have time. No matter what they now do, they can't realistically restealth, even if they blind you - if they try to time it in the 3 second window between ticks, it's easy enough to piercing howl them out of it. If you can charge and MS, you get deep wounds on which makes stealth completely out of the question. The idea is to forces them to go into a toe-to-toe situation; this rarely ends well for the rogue, they rely on controlling the fight to win.

I started Heroics under the 535 Def Skill and with about 19k health. I did run with some friends who were Naxx geared though, so they basically pulled me through the easier Heroics. It's definitely doable, perhaps you can get some friends / guildies together to help you run some.
That being said, I can suggest a few upgrades for you. I see you don't have any professions on this toon. I would recommend picking up Jewelcrafting and Mining if you feel like leveling some prof's, they will be a huge boost to your stats.
Also mix up your gems and enchants, and try to get all your stuff enchanted. You're at 736 Defense Rating atm, you need 540 Defense Skill or 689 Defense Rating for Raids and even less for Heroics (535 Def Skill or 665 Defense Rating).
If you replace your helm 2nd slot to a +24 Stam gem, you'll get more health AND the +8 defense rating socket bonus as well. Same with your shoulder gem, if you replace it with the +8 def +12 Stam Green gem you'll get the socket bonus as well. Get +16 Defense to your cloak, and replace your Shield enchant with +20 Defense. Also socket your belt with a belt bucket and another +24 Stam gem.
With all the new defense you can either replace that Def trinket with a Stam one, or change your chest enchant to the +275 Health enchant. I would suggest looking into these Stam trinkets:
Essence of Gossimer
from H AN and
Monarch Crab
Finally, if you feel up for it you can also slap a +40 stam enchant on your bracer (or wait for better ones). Replace your Ranged with the BiS
Armor Plated Combat Shotgun
or get the quest reward
Weighted Throwing Axe
that you can solo. Start working on your Sons of Hodir faction asap. Try to get into some H VH runs for the upgrades
Bolstered Legplates
.
Keep working on gear and you should be tanking like a pro in no time.
