This is such a vague question, it's kind of hard to answer. There are a lot of factors in your dps besides your weapons. What sort of gear do you have, are you aiming for the right stats? What about your gems/enchants/glyphs? That's going to change somewhat depending on your spec. Do you have enough +hit rating? Are you using your skills in the proper order? Are you making sure to stand behind/off to the side of mobs?
861 dps is pretty dismal for a level 80, so I'm going to second the above suggestion. Check out the rogue forums here. If you can wade through the nonsense in the official WoW forums (
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/
), you'll often find some useful information there too.

For a Rouge to do more dps, you will need lots and lots of make-up :)
For a Rogue however, just hit things and don't take aggro and / or die.

I'll be honest with you: if you come to Wowhead.com and make a post called "My dps won't go high.", and you're doing 861 DPS at level 80, it'll probably take a miracle for you to do decent DPS. 861 was decent by level 70 terms. I think the problem is you're just not good at WoW.

its possible that the OP is looking at the listed dps on his paperdoll.
Very true. Which would be very funny as well.
