why did you link DK stickies? I think OP is looking for general info on raiding.....
not sure of a good Intro or How To, but here are my tips:
1. to chat to the whole raid, use /raid instead of /party
2. be ready to raid once you join the raid. 9 (or 24) other ppl don't want to wait for you to repair and visit the auction house for comsumables.
3. if you don't know, it doesn't hurt to ask. see tip #1.
Edit: PVE forums has raiding sticky:

Read those stickies Suntripes and sugarzombie posted.
If you're DPS, your role is to do as much damage to the correct target(s) as possible without pulling aggro off the tank(s).
Your conduct during raids should follow your guild's rules.
You should watch strategy videos on all the fights you're planning on doing before you do them. (You can find them linked in their respective pages on
www.wowwiki.com
)
I will sum up raiding in five words: DON'T STAND IN THE FIRE
It doesn't matter what color or shape the fire is, there's always fire and you're not supposed to stand in it.

Hai, Hodir much?
Heh, in that fight the fire looks like blue circles on the ground. Hodir is crazy like that.
2) He's a Death Knight. Unless the fire is in melee range, he shouldn't be standing in it. I don't know about your raids, but in mine the tank/melee/boss never move, and the fires are rarely if ever in melee.
