Why did my dps drop by 200 on the dummy but increase so much in a 25?Raid buffs?

Yep. Dummies know tat all about melee dps. If you're not bringing your raid with you to the dummy it won't show you your actual raid dps. Even then it will struggle because you won't get the conditional procs etc that come from being in a fight (
Victory Rush
for warriors on crappy spawned adds, for example).
Just use it to test new rotations, gear etc.

I would really like to see the printout of that evidence. I don't see your dps increasing at all due to the fact especially if you are dual WF, switching to a fast weapon would decrease your dps by hurting your WF procs. Please if you are going to ask a question about dps changes please list weapon enchants on previous and what your rotations are as well as showing a dps sheet otherwise it's just too easy to call BS on the fact that you are posting an inferior weapon but stating it increased your dps.

Rotation and Priortiy system are all the same mate. The enhancement rotation is based on a priority system and not a this then this then this type system. I never said it wasn't, but it's still a rotation. You can get angry all you want at me, I never said you were a liar simply said it's hard to believe without a spreadsheet or dps printout showing the difference and your attacks. It has been proved countless times check elitistjerks.com if you don't believe me that slow high top end weapons give greater dps than fast offhands, it's not even a question anymor if there is even a possiblity of it being the other way. WF scales better with slow offhand a fast offhand takes away from the main hands windfury. Will it do it all the time, no, but it will do it a majority of the time, the only time I would go with a fast offhand is if it's so much better in terms of overall dps improvement that it would defeat the SS/WF benefits of going with a slow hand.
Basically you stated that I know nothing of enhance shamans and then spouted how much it will improve dps forgetting that it gimps both SS and WF, which should be two of your main sources of DPS. I am not an idiot I raided as a enhancement shaman all through BC, but gave it up in WOTLK because the scaling was worse for a enhance shaman than it is for a Frost DK which gives the slightly less of a raid buff, but a higher personal dps. Keeping LS up is a nice plus for dps, but it' s not enough to offset the dps loss caused by a fast offhand. I could understand if you went fast OH with FT, but tossing WF on a fast offhand and then calling me ignorant of Shaman knowledge is humorous and counterproductive. Give us a spreadsheet showing dps difference and then you can show me how I am wrong. Take on a dummy with same buffs and procs for 10 minutes and then copy the printout of your dps and then do the same with the fast OH and then look at the difference.

So you went from slow WF/slow FT to slow WF/fast WF? or slow WF/fast FT?
If you went from slow FT to fast WF than your dps jump is the addition of WF - WF is by far the best weapon buff there is though fast offhand with FT from what I have recently read is catching up. If you are going slow WF/fast FT than the dps increase with raid buffs and a fire mage in the raid means your FT hits more often and strikes more often giving you a higher end dps. If you are hit capped with the fast weapon that will creat more FT hits and if you have a higher ap with the weapon it increases your sp which increases your FT. Add that in with the Wrath of Totem buff, Fire mage and lock buffs and you get your additional dps. I don't know if I would switch, but it gives you an option now
I didn't mean to call you a liar or attack your abilities as a shaman was simply stopping the unending fast weapons dps for shamans. I find way too many shamans who are geared completely incorrectly and it drives me nuts. Shamans are completely dependent on proper gearing and priority attacks that it becomes almost essential to gear right. I will get back on and play my shaman so more, but I found that my frost dk is approximately the same thing with better gear and the ability to tank.
