Rage is a complete non-issue. Unbridled Wrath is worthless. Your white crits are going to give you 60+ rage, and turning 60 into 61 isn't going to make any difference at all. Same with Anger Management. Bloodrage is wasted points as well, as you can use Charge (a la Juggernaut) in combat between whites when you are completely rage starved.
You should never use HS or Cleave as a PvE Arms warrior. That's a fury move, as they can still gain rage from their off-hand. Heroic Strike may cost 12-15 rage based on spec, but you're missing the hidden potential cost of 50+ rage you would have gained by having a white hit. Use slam when everything else is off cooldown.
The glyph of execute is a very minimal benefit. While for single-target DPS there is nothing better, the glyph is pretty terrible. It essentially reads "Your execute ability does 280 more damage". The Sweeping Strikes glyph will probably give you a lot more mileage, allowing you to not have to wait for a white hit before AoEing.
In conclusion....
- Being hit capped is easy, and it's worth much more than any rage talents can possibly give.
- Slam > Heroic Strike
- Glyph of Execute isn't very good.
This is a lot of bad information right here.
Yes, getting hit capped is #1 priority... and Slam is essential to your rotation.
But using Heroic Strike in combination with OP, Slam, or (SD)Execute is a good idea if you have the rage for it, which you will at least once per rotation, and you can easily make the rage on your next white hit.
I hit with more HS's in a fight than I do with MS. It doesn't use up your GCD, so you can use it in combination with other instants which do use your GCD.
And the Execute Glyph is probably the best Glyph you can get. Sudden Death happens so often that an extra 320 damage (not 280) is going to make a significant difference, this is multiplicative with AP on crits.
Sweeping Strikes Glyph saves you 30 rage every 30 seconds. I think you can manage to save up 30 rage in that amount of time.
I would take Piercing howl or imp demo shout
For a PVE arms warrior? why would I ever want to pick up piercnig howl or imp demorlizing shout?
Piercing Howl is nice for some fights where you may want to slow down a bunch of small adds, to hopefully save your healers... it's also a very nice utility skill if you get stuck in a pvp situation in your raid spec. There aren't a lot of much better talents in the upper Fury tree, so I like to pick it up.
Imp Demo shout if you're raid is ultra concerned about maximizing debuffs on the boss. Back in TBC, with 5 points in Imp Demo shout, I think you could completely nullify the bonus AP on a boss, as they only have a certain amount of bonus AP. I don't know if that holds up today though.
