For anyone who is curious, I'm asking because I already have the 1h sword heirloom item and it has crusader on it, I'm considering tradeing it over to a new rogue and leveling with it.

May as well - no harm if you decide you don't want to anymore. Crusader is an excellent enchant for early rogue leveling. so is 15+ agility or lifestealing.

No rogue gear has any strength on it.
Any leather piece with strength on it is meant for feral druids and not for rogues.

Yup, for feral druids alright. (Although that statement is true for wotlk and BC items, there are still pre-bc gear around.) :P
