The link
http://www.wowhead.com/?spells=11.164&filter=minrs=305;maxrs=450
(the like)
I'm leveling profession, so am I using the next approach.
I filter a range set of recipes, in example - from 305 upward, and then using JS filtering I reduce amount of items displayed by more narrow filtering rules.
In the past, I was able to enter, like, "Skill: < 350" and it was hiding everything that require 350 skill and more to learn. Now, it filters everything.
Nor the "305-350" works.

So using that link shows no results for you?

It shows, however. That's not my problem.
the problem is, when I shift+click the Skill column header and enter, say, "<350", or "305-350", it filter out everything.

Same for me too.

I'm pretty sure those fields have always used text-based filtering instead of numerical filtering, but I'll look.

Yeah, it search for text. If you type in just a number without any mathematical symbol, it will return something.

They were always using numeric search, which was a case for complaints sometimes, f.e. if it list mix of professions and you only want to show those belong to one.
Now it's even worse, there's just no useful sorting for this column at all :(
