Cant' speak for QuestHelper, but I know Carbonite lets you disable/enable a LOT of things and also lets you modify a lot of options. Have you looked into the Interface options for QuestHelper? Maybe you can turn off things you don't use.
Either that, or...make some upgrades :-P

Tourguide + LightHeaded + TomTom.
LightHeaded consumes a ton of RAM tho.

Cartographer + Cartographer Quest_info (grab the ones from wow.curse.com, not the wowinterface ones)
1) press L
2) click on whatever_mobs_you_have_to kill that are shown in the quest log
3) notice the red dot on your new, scaled, no-fog-of-war map
4)?
5) !Profit!

If you just want a quest tracker, QuestGuru is really nice.
If you want something to do your quests for you, what you want is impossible. For an addon to guide you to quest objectives it needs to have that information available, this uses up memory. Memory utilization has no impact on gaming performance at all, it only impacts zoning speed and UI load times.
Just use Questhelper and ignore the stupid memory utilization numbers that mean nothing. OMG 100MB of my xGB of ram is being used for addons what will i do?
