A Healing Dilemna

Alright, so I know that you guys must have heard this question tons and tons of times, but I beseech you to help me with it, even if this'll be your last time with it.

I need to make a decision: Resto Shammy or Discipline/Holy Priest for a healer. I've played two tanks, two DPS, and now I want to round off my WoW experience by rolling a healer. My DPS characters are a mage and a warrior. My tanks were the same DPS warrior and a paladin. Just throwing that in there in case those classes help with what I should go with for healing.

Now, each class that I played, be it for DPS or Tanking, I enjoyed almost equally, so I really don't have a favorite. My main is my Mage though, so yeah.

And I don't know enough about either Shamans or Priests to make the decision myself, but I have considered Heroism/Bloodlust, Chain Heals, the Divine Aegis/Power Word: Shield, and different healing capabilities and variety.

And I just don't have the damned ability to decide.

Not quite.

PW:S is staying exactly as it's been.

Reflective Shield, a Discipline Talent, causes 45% of the damage absorbed by PW:S to be dealt to the target inflicting it, with no threat caused.

This talent is SUPPOSED to apply regardless of who the shield is on. It hasn't, for a long time. It only works on the priest casting it.

Blizzard stated that they want it to work like the tooltip currently reads, but doing so involves completely rebuilding the spell, so until they can do that, they're changing the tooltip next patch to reflect how the talent currently works.

TL;DR: PW:S is staying exactly the same, Reflective Shield is not changing functionality at all, the tooltip is being changed to reflect how it currently functions.

As far as Shaman v Priest... I'd personally roll a resto shammy if I'm interested more in 5-man or 10-man content, or a priest for 25-man content. Shaman buffs don't stack well when you have more than 1-2 shaman in a raid, but before that point Shaman buffs are absolutely amazing. Both put out similar healing in both single-target and AoE situations.
