Adding ItemID to the Quick Facts box?
Return to board index
I was wondering if it would be lots of work to add the ItemID to the Quick Facts box of an item (e.g.
). The box already shows the iLevel of teh item so I think adding the ID makes sense. I know that the "item=12345" part of the site-url shows the ItemID, but having it in the box would make it easier to be spotted.
Having the ItemID in the item-listst (e.g.
) too would be perfect, but I doubt it's used by enough people to warrant filling up the list-tables with yet another value.
for the Greasemonkey scripts. You do need to use Firefox for this though. I don't think there's a readymade script for what you need, but perhaps it's possible if you ask in the thread.
I really don't see any reason why this would be a necessary feature, sorry. You stated the reason yourself - it's in the URL. There's no use to clutter the Quick Facts box with redundant information. As for showing in search results, possibly maybe but also not really necessary. There
a Greasemonkey script that will pull all of the item IDs found on a single page (like a page of search results, for example) and it opens a dialog box from where the item IDs can be copied. I really feel that is more than enough.
