I am going to say just this - don't worry. Gear hardly matters before 70, and matters a little between 70 and 80. I kind of wish it wasn't this way, but it is.
Sometimes Mail gear will be better than Plate - that's fine, as long as you don't stack too much Mail. Again, using the Auction House will be a waste of money. My advice, even though it may sound cold - get to 80. And then focus on the minimum requirements for whatever you are going to do - PvP, dungeons, heroics, raiding...
I am sorry for my tone, but today's been especially rough of me, a day full of nubism, and people refusing to learn. Normally I'd do my best to help you, but I am losing faith. Get to 80, cover the minimums, be like everybody else...
P.S. Intellect and any other caster-related stats are useless to you. Crit, attack power, strength and stamina should be your focus.

For the most part, you're fine. Get rid of the belt, though. Cloth caster gear doesn't help you. Using leather or mail is not an uncommon strategy for Ret Paladins as sometimes you will find better stats using them.
At level 58, you're ready for the Burning Crusade expansion and Outland. The first several quests there are all major upgrades for you. Therefore, worrying about your gear right now is a waste of time as you've indicated a desire to hit 80. Get the expansion and go kill a bunch of demons.
