Dwarves: ...Gun Spec. and a drinking problem.
That makes it one choice for Alliance Hunter race. It's the only logical option really, all the other Ally races are sub-par to the Dwarf choice.
If you *must* go with something else, choose a female Draenai for the great animations and accent.

Frost Resistance
Gun Specialization
Stone Form
Draenei
Gem Cutting
Gift of the Naruu
Heroic Presence
Shadow Resistance
Racials dont really affect raid DPS very much, its pretty much spec and gear.
as for PvP, all these racials are awesome
