Alliance or Horde?

sometimes people think that they should have taken alliance instead of horde and horde instead of alliance but why?

Well, for a multitude of reasons: everything from poor Alliance:Horde ratio to not liking the atmosphere of one faction or the other. There really is no one correct answer.
Personally, I've always been Horde, and always will (even with those anorexic female Blood Elfs on our side...).
