I'm kind of an altoholic. I have a 52 mage, trying really hard to get him to 55 to try a DK, but I make alts and level them to 10-14, then go back to mge, and I'm not sure why, maybe just a break from the norm.
I rarely ever go back to my alts.

I consider myself an Alt-o-holic. Of course I have a ^&*!load of alts (way too much to name) but at the same time I always seem to get an "urge" to level a new class and make him high end when I have played a fair amount of playtime on my main. This is getting seriously annoying now. I have therefore let a lot of effort go to waste, just because it felt right to make a new main :/. I seriously envy people who can play forever on their main and not even think about making an alt. Kudo's to that!

I have several alts. I don't play all of them (yet). Odd really.
Of the ones I do play my main is a Troll Hunter. My second is a Bloof Elf paladin. My third is a Night Elf Druid. My fourth is a Tauren Female DK. I also play a Tauren Warrior (only lvl 14 though). I mostly play the Blood Elf and Troll.
I guess I just like variety in my game.
I have a bank alt (Orc Shaman) who spends his time between the mailbox, bank and AH in Orgimmar selling the stuff the others make/find/harvest and building up stores.

Warning!: Following text contains (poorly written) life (in WoW) story of a random player.
I have never been able to just stay on one character for long time and gear him/her up etc.
When i began to play WoW long time ago, after few toons, i finally got into my tauren hunter. I got him to around level 50 and then my friend lured me to roll alliance on another realm and there i first level 40 warlock, then 40 shaman and finally 42 hunter. (After this i can not remember clearly what happened but i believe it went like this)
I sold my account but after only 1-2 weeks got bored of having nothing to do bought new account from my friends brother and leveled 70 tauren druid, but as i got him to 70 i just got bored and sold that account oo and bought my old account back. My hunter was lvl 62 and i finally got him to 70 and got few PvP epics on him and got taste of raiding in KZ.
I then got bored of Horde and got my friend to roll ally characters server where one of our classmate was playing. I decided to give druid another try and leveled another one to 70, i used her as tank for a while but got bored of that and specced for healing which i found too frustrating with the poor gear i had, tried balance too but still the gear sucked.
I had lvl 20 mage on the server so i decided to give that a try too and leveled her to 70 but got bored and stopped playing WoW for month or two but got back into it when i got bored of my new xbox360.
My friend wanted mage so i swapped accounts with him, i leveled his 62 shaman to 70 and got into raiding, didn't get Illidan down in 3.0.1 but had fun while it lasted. Then the WotLK hit i rolled DK, leveld him to 74 tried to start leveling my shaman but just couldn't do the quests all over again so soon and had like 2 weeks break from WoW.
Now my friend is raiding on my old druid and i am plying my DK who i got to 80 few days ago. During my time in WoW i've leveled over 30 lvl -20 characters, around 5 lvl -50 characters and 5 lvl 70 characters and 1 lvl 80 character so i would consider my self as altoholic.
End of story
Now, if i just could decide if i should roll warlock or hunter... D:

I've got 10 characters at level 70 (ish) and a level 77 hunter, all on the same realm. All of them have professions above 300 even first aid / fishing and cooking. 5 of my characters are master engineers.
I am guild-less and enjoy PvP a little more than PvE. PuG's are okay, though I have developed a sixth sense for when they go south.
I've played WoW before, but now I'm back with a vengeance and I've only been playing since August this year.
Dual boxed 2 accounts then paid to transfer five characters to the same account as they all hit 60 by the end of the first free month on the 2nd account.
August->September 1-60 x 10. September-present 60-70+ x 10 and working on tradeskills.
p.s. As you may imagine I'm very paranoid about account security..
