the issue has to do with multiQing, and is no ones but the allies on you battlegroups fault

I did 5 AV's yesterday.

It was 40 Alli to MAX of 19 Horde.

It differs between battlegroups.

I'm in Ruin BTW

Yea on my battlegroup it's the same way... AV is just plain terrible for allies. Whenever someone exclaims they just won AV in trade chat, they are immediately cut down (jokingly of course) with "Lies! and No Way" I guess it does differ but seriously blizzard... AV used to be amazing... now its just useless. Please fix it :)

Has anyone else noticed that Alterac Valley is unbalanced now? I did about 5 of them yesterday and the best odds we had were 19 Ally vs. 40 Horde. If other servers can't seem to get full raids for this any more, perhaps it needs to have a buff added to balance it back out.

Are other battlegroups seeing this same issue?

This problem appeared out of the blue at level 80. Retaliation had no real balance issues prior to lvl 80 AVs. I can't figure out why anyone would play AV. The honor from the other BGs and Wintergrasp is very very good, and there are no reward incentives to play AV other than Achievements. Unfortunately, I need just 10 wins to reach 100, but I doubt I will ever get them if this situation persists.

in 51-60 AV brackets, it's usually Horde outnumbering the Alli. Sometimes the alli get 40 and give us trouble because we've been lazy for the past 10 AVs in the past 24 hours.

You want to talk about balance? Alliance have the best defensive positions on the upper part of the map by far. That bridge near the Alli main base can sometimes end up being an AoE #$%^ fest against us Horde.

i wouldnt mind seeing 40 horde vs 20 allies seeing that just the way AV is designed, allies got an advantage

so yeah AV got balance issues, just not the one you are talking about
