Altered Raiding Hybrid Spec

Hey guys I need some feedback on this spec I made.
I'm primarily a raiding hunter. As a result, when I was building this I had in mind a decently (Kara) geared hunter that wants to bring more to the table than just their dps.

Think of it as being a team player, while relatively maximizing your dps.
You could throw a couple of talent points around to compensate for low hit rating or more mana efficiency, depending on the player.

Hmm, I would almost go as far to say it's the complete opposite. Taking 2min off a 5min cooldown isn't too shabby to begin with. Then you take into account the fact it's one of the hunter's key abilities to increase dps.
At least in Kara, the latter boss fights can last long enough to get a Rapid Fire (3min cooldown) off more than twice. What do they say when they say ramp up the dps? Proc my trinkets and Rapid Fire.
However, if you have found otherwise, please feel free to post any numbers that indicate otherwise and I would be inclined to re-examine the talents.
Until then, going by personal experience and (my) logic, the talent is staying.

Mana Pot, if need be. No hunter should be going oom in 3min if they have a good shot rotation for long fights.
The dynamics of a 10min fight are much different than that of a 2min one. Long fights become more focused around efficiently maximizing your dps, not going "Rambo Mode" and then suffering the consequences.

Rapid Killing and Go for the Throat are wasted points, if you're going for any type of Raid spec. (Go for the Throat only if you're BM, and even then... )
Those points in my opinion would have been better spent topping off Efficiency. You also have 1 point in Deflection, which is certainly a waste... why even bother with one point?

Good points. I don't have any more points in Efficiency because I'm not actually sure if I'll need them. But as I said above, I could toss a few around for mana efficiency. I had them in KC because I always liked to toss in a little margin of pet dps for the raid. But Efficiency is definitely a substitute for those if need be.
As far as Deflection goes, I couldn't think of where to put that point. I was short getting to the third tier of the tree by one. Mongoose bite and wing clip seemed equally bad for raiding, if not more so due to the fact that deflection could actually make the difference between a killing hit that could cause a wipe, or a dodged hit that could give a second longer for an ability to be ready. I had strayed away from Monster Slaying, but haven't completely ruled it out.
However, if you believe that Rapid Killing is a waste of two points and could be better spent somewhere in Efficiency, could you show any math or figures that support that? I just can't see how having a 40% increased attack speed for 15secs every 3min as opposed to every 5min, is disadvantageous to having a 4% mana reduction of shots and stings. =/

Thanks you Zari for your enthusiasm on this thread. Comments dually noted.
Coeq, as far as Surefooted goes, does that 3% go to your HR? I was trying to look at the comparisons online and I couldn't tell where exactly where the +Hit went. I have 120HR atm, but if that would indeed stack with Hit Rating like I think it does, I could change out some gear.
Also, I have read that having 1 talent into Trap Mastery will basically ensure that nobody is going to resist your traps, and having 2 into there is pointless. I would like to have a point or two in there so I could legitimately help CC when needed. Does anybody have experience with the 1 point vs 2?

Agreed. Once again, this spec is not about bringing a top-dps to the raid but rather something that can boost each member of the raid's dps, while being able to flex into just about any situation that could possible present itself. It takes far and few raiders to sacrifice the top-dps spot for the better of the group.
While your comments are definitely appreciated, a "Which spec is best for top-dps" thread is not exactly what I'm going for. (If this spec doesn't work out your spec's are a very possibly alternative.)
Back to matters at hand, has anybody read about the trap/resist mechanics and if it actually takes 2 talents into Trap Mastery for, lets say a 71elite, to never resist?

Assuming you put 3 talents into Expose Weakness, every crit you get will proc it. With my gear, I would have a little over 30% crit without buffs, which should in theory mean about 1 every 3 hits is a crit. I know that WoW is far from a perfect system, but I also fire more then 3 shots every 7 seconds (more in the range of 4 or 5 without trinkets). I've done a little bit of reading on the talent to see if it actually can be kept up the entire fight and as Coeq has said above, it can be and is very possible.
Also, in your spec above Coeq, I noticed you didn't have any points into Survivalist. 2% per point, is a pretty big buff to your health, and at first glance it seems kinda silly not to put at least a few points in there.

Ahh! I probably won't have it maxed out, but I'll definitely have a few points there, depending on gear improvements. Thanks though, was wondering if I missed something again. :)
