It's actually not a bad idea. In 3.0.8, a DW DK will really not need annihilation because on most fights you'll just be using HB anyway.

1) DW DK who put points into annihilation are stupid
2) Dont put points into RPM (lol) because next patch, it will only increase DS by an extra 6% (and I think I even read that they gonna completely change the glyph).

I don't take Annihilation either. HB does more damage against a single target than Obliterate every time, so I don't see a reason to put talents in to improve Obliterate.
I'd rather put those points into Unholy, maybe get Reaping so I can have more frost and unholy runes, which will be great once they remove the cooldown on HB. Or get the permanent pet from Master of Ghouls. Or even toss them into Blood if you prefer. There just isn't a lot more in Frost that can increase your DPS at this point.
