Archaeology, Uldum and Canopic Jar... Endless farming?

Question is: once I hit 450 I know I can dig in Uldum... but WHEN will I se Uldum digs? I'm flying around collecting tons of crappy fragments but I still have to se the damned digsite pop in Uldum. I'm trying to go for some Canopic Jars but it seems I can't even dig in the desert.

RNG is random. If you keep digging in Kalimdor, eventually you will get Uldum digs. It sucks, but that's how it is.

I didn't see any digsites in Uldum until I was 525 arch. So you may have to max out before you access to those. Either that, or I was extremely unlucky in my digsite spawns.

You were just incredibly unlucky. 450 is required for Tol'Vir and Hyjal dig sites to pop up. I got my first Uldum dig site not long after I dinged 450.

had my first in Twilight highlands show up WAAAAY after i hit 525, could be i had to clear out a few of my old digsites before a new spawned there, but have yet to see a dig in Mount hyjal, have had a few in Uldum tho, but so far nothing at all useful.

(Been farming for Zin'rokh as im sure a number of others currently are too, and it's starting to feel like it's not worth the trouble)

45-50 troll projects so far, most (75%+) of them after 450, 1 single rare troll item to discover, and i can say it's a hell of a grind.
