Are random dungeons really random?

I know it's a relatively small sample, but for two days in a row now, I've done random dungeons with my two 80s (one of whom is geared for ToC25, and one that's still in blues) and they both got the same dungeon both days (Old Kingdom on Wednesday, Halls of Lightning yesterday).
Is anyone else noticing that the "random dungeon" on a given day seems to be a specific dungeon still? Or did I just get a weird run of coincidence?

I would say it is coincidence. I've gotten almost every heroic, including the new ones all from the random selection LFD.
Although... I'm starting to suspect they have upped the chance to get H Oculus... Can't tell you how many times I have run that in the last few days. (with only one fail, for the record. hooray for nerfs! ^^;)

I have had H CoS, Gundrak and last night H Oculus. First time I have ever run that one and I am not a big fan.
Seems to be random for me at least.

It is random, but weighted against dungeons to which party members are already saved. If other people in your random grouping are saved to some heroics, then it means that you are less likely to get those heroics.

Got HoL first then, Utgarde Pinnacle, and Culling of Stratholme yesterday. Today got Oculus and then FoS. Seems the server picks a 'daily' dungeon just like how the old daily dungeon quest was, it seems.
Actually, I was forgetting a day. I got Old Kingdom on Tuesday, CoS on Wednesday and HoL yesterday. There also seem to be a decent number of people saying they got Oculus today.
It does kind of seem like it's favoring one instance on a given day. But who knows, maybe it's a weird RNG thing.

I think it's safe to say that it's most likely going to give you the dungeons you:
• A) Have been avoiding
• 2) Hate to run
• d) Don't run as much as your favorites
