Ran Heigan on 10-man the other night. First try was a wipe; second try, about six people died early on. However, the four remaining were the tank, me (holy priest) and two DPS. It took a rather long time (total fight time was, I believe, 17 minutes) but the four of us alone took him down.
The only people who should get the disease in the normal phase are the tank and some nearby melee. Assuming you have a priest, shaman or paladin standing on the platform healing they should easily be able to hit the afflicted parties as they scamper around the room.
As the second phase begins you want to make sure everyone is cleansed. I never noticed anyone having the disease during the dance phase and even if anyone did, I'd say just ignore it. You *have* to concentrate on the dance; if you get really comfortable with the dance you might be able to drop an instant cast on someone but that's each individual's prerogative. However, at the end of the dance phase when Heigan runs at the tank, there's a good chance a chunk of the group will catch the disease, so the first thing I ended up doing at the end of each phase was cleansing diseases off of everyone. If you're a shaman, you'd probably want to drop the disease cleansing totem at the edge of the platform where the raid jumps back on after dancing.
But no, no we didn't really have an issue with it.

Lag will really be your only problem. If you can't remember where the fires come out, you don't need to be raiding.

Has anyone else been able to do this fight with latency issues? I was trying it for the first time, last reset and felt like I got the hang of it but I was just randomly dying when on my screen I was clearly out of the way. Looked at my latency... close to 500. Just seemed impossible to do with that much lag.
Not looking forward to that fight this week.. even on a good day I have 200.
I have never died on this fight and I play from Australia which means my latency is never LOWER than 500 and usually much higher. 500ms is not high enough to cause noticeable "lag" -- seems like you just don't know the positions well enough or are following people instead of running for yourself (which means you will die from delay).

Easy with 200ms. can do it with 380.
Remove diseases before healing.
Learn the dance.
Don't depend on bugs.
if you end up 3 manning it, make sure the healer has great mp5
