I couldn't stop laughing when I read about it. :D
Seeing as I win most AVs in my battlegroup, I more than welcome even more wins. ;)

The map favors horde since they arrive at their objectives before alliance arrives at thiers.

LOL, no the AV map does favor the Alliance. The Alliance can bypass everything upto frostwolf GY, and that is easily attacked as it is in an open field with no bottleneck point. Also the horde towers in frost wolf have a far shorter targeting range then those of the Alliance, in most cases you can enter one of the towers without being attacked by an archer even if you are the first to reach that point. The Alliance also has far less of the town's people to fight once they get that far. There are several bottlenecks that the horde have to get through to and can easily be defended well by a few people.
Um...since you no longer have to kill the opposing general to win in the new AV, the opposing bases are a complete non-factor. If the alliance make it to FW at all, it's because the horde didn't bother to defend IB.

Really Blizzard still says on their page that the Generals are still the only requirement to win:
"On the death of General Drek'Thar or Vanndar Stormpike, all reinforcements are lost and the team is defeated."
That quote doesn't support your assertion.
In the new AV, reducing the other teams reinforcements to zero is the only way to win. Killing the opposing general is one sure way to accomplish that.

Too many gaps to hold for the Horde, Alliances can sneak/rush past Galv and IB. If Alliances were smart they can hold the choke point at Icewing bunker and SH. Somehow their defenses tends to get overrun even when their WHOLE team is force to be on Defense - kinda sad.

I haven't experienced the new AV changes due to destroying alliance in every other battleground. Mwah!
