Not to get off on a tangent, but I've been away from the game for a while (came back with WotLK), and whatever happened to normalized insta-attacks, like what they did for Mortal Strike? Is that out the window, so slow = good again?

Ingvar's ..
you swing faster ... results in slightly more rune strike if you parried a lot ( which in most case, you should).
Rune strikes trigger of the DK making the parry not receiving it. So I don't think weapon speed affects this at all.
