"Um, cool?" Llynarai said, looking at him with a confused look on her face as she took a swig of her drink.

Av'ka smiled and pressed her cheek against his chest. "Not so hard to believe," she chuckled.

Tahni smiled at her sister, finally getting her night clothes on and wrestling the girl into her bed. "You want to hear a story then squirt?" she asked her, moving and sitting on the edge of the bed. "Okay, so this is how mom and dad met..."

Val'ran's trained senses managed to kickstart his mind somewhat, mustering the willpower to stop drinking. He staggered over to a couch and collasped onto it, staring into a fireplace from across the furniture.

Tova smiled at his wife as he held her. "I guess not. Still remember a few of my friends telling me I was crazy... but I had just as many telling me to just go with it." He told her.

To'ka stepped outside and walked around to the woodpile seeing Ka'va seated there, a strange look on her face. "What's wrong sis?" He asked taking a seat beside her and she looked up at him for a moment then threw her arms around him and started to sob. He sighed and held her. "You were listening weren't you?" He asked, and she nodded, still crying. To'ka didn't say anything else, he just held her as she cried herself out.

Miri listened to the story, snug in her blankets and giggled and laughed at certain parts of it.

Llynarai sighed. She downed her drink, ordered another one and sat next to Val'ran. "Whatshup?" she asked him, putting on hand on his leg.

Av'ka grinned. "All of my friends were enthusiastic about this," she chuckled. "Mostly because you were hot."

Tahni finished telling the story and tucked Miri in. "Night squirt," she smiled, leaning in and kissing her on the forehead before heading back downstairs.

"I thought Miriam distrusted me?" Tova asked with a laugh, looking down at her with a raised eyebrow.

"I won't tell you a lie; it's possible to die out there. I mean, Dad doesn't go on missions anymore because of his injury, but..." To'ka said to his sister, lifting her face to look in her eyes. "Doesn't mean we have to live in fear. Bad things might happen, but they can happen anywhere, so we might as well just live our lives as we can." He told her and she sniffed, rubbing her arm across her nose and sat up.

"That's too wise to come from you." She said with a slightly stuffed up voice and he chuckled, putting his arm around her. "Your right; Dad told me it after he was injured." To'ka admitted then stood up. "Come on, let's get the wood inside." He said to her, picking up an arm full and waiting for her to do the same.

"Feeling drunk," Val'ran said, trying to resist a goofy grin, only half-succeeding.

"You?" he asked, trying to concentrate on what was going on around him.

"Drunk," she laughed stupidly, taking another drink and slopping some on her corset. "Told.. told you itzhabbit," she said with another laughed, looking at him.

"Nah, Miriam loves everyone," she chuckled, kissing his cheek. "She grew to love you just the same."

Tahni came down the stairs. "I'm going for a swim at the pond," she told her parents before leaving the building.

"Be back soon love," Av'ka called after her, and Tahni just rolled her eyes.

"And... I'm fond of her." Tova said kissing her back, and looked up as Ka'va and To'ka came in. They dropped the wood off and Ka'va waved at her parents as she headed towards the back of the house where her room was. "Did I hear Tahni say she was going to the springs?" To'ka asked, and Tova nodded. "Might as well go too.. haven't really had a chance to wash since I swam here from Darkshore." To'ka said and left the house, following the path towards the pond and the hot springs Tova had paid a few shamans to create in a part of it. He caught up to his sister fairly quickly and fell into step beside her.

Val'ran couldn't help but laugh, not able to control himself that well. After a moment he looked at Llynarai, watching her for a long moment with his lips slightly parted. He tried to stop himself, but he was rather slow to react, not sure when he finally would.

Llynarai stood stunned for a moment, her head tilted as she looked at him. "No, wait," she said, putting a finger to his lips. She grabbed her drink and downed the rest of it, hiccuping once and swaying a bit. "Kay," she said, smiling slightly as she brought her lips to his.

Av'ka smiled, kissing her mate again. "We've raised good kids," she chuckled.

"Hey bro," Tahni said, looking over at him. "What was wrong with Ka'va?"

"Yes we did." Tova agreed, the two walking towards the main living room.

"She overheard me talking with Dad about what had happened to me in Hyjal. It understandably upset her." To'ka replied, looking skyward and judging the time. "Looks like we have another hour or so of light." He looked at her with a sudden smile and took off at run, pelting towards the pond. "First one there owes the other a meal!" He called over his shoulder, laughing.

Val'ran felt her lips against him, not sure how to react. His senses were still careless, so he didn't try to pull away until a few seconds had passed.

He sat rather dazed, blinking his eyes a few times.

Llynarai pulled away, her brows drawn together. After a few moments, she leaned in again and gave him another kiss. "Weird," she said pulling away and leaning back on the couch, too confused as to what was going on to even bother asking.

Av'ka sat down on the couch, smiling and leaning into Tova. "So, tell me about the hunt," she said quietly. "Was it really that bad?"

"Wait, no!" Tahni laughed, running after him. "Not fair, you're faster! Plus I can't hunt worth a crap!"

Tova sighed, stretching out and put his arm around her, muttering as he set the fireplace alight. "It was.... bad." He agreed laughing a little. "She's still not completely comfortable with her tiger form.... if I didn't know she was as brave as a bear, I'd swear she's afraid of it." He told her, groaning slightly as he shifted wrong and his leg twinged at him.

To'ka looked over his shoulder at her again and laughed, continuing to run. "You might not be able to hunt, but you can always make breakfast or something!" He called back at her, dodging a low hanging branch as the scent of water filled the air.

A brief look of concern crossed Av'ka's face, but she resisted asking him if he was all right. "I guess she just needs some time," she chuckled sadly. "I just can't believe Miri and how fast she is learning. How old were you when you could change first?"

"I'm not going to though!" laughed Tauni, changing into her tiger form and running passed him with a playful snarl before jumping into the pond.

Tova thought back and chuckled. "Not that young." He said simply, as he really couldn't remember, it had been far too long. "I'm not sure how she's that skilled... but To'ka and Tahni changed early as well. Could be it's just the mix of the races." He said, and looked down at her. "Though, I'm surprised none of the girls didn't get your lynx form."

"Cheater!" To'ka called, stripping off his tunic and pants and leaping into the water, laughing. He dove deep then swam towards the hot spring area, watching as his sister tread water in her tiger form still. "So what do you want cooked?" He called to her, settling into the shaped pool and sighing as he felt the warmth.
