Tova nodded and hissed a little in pain as his leg twinged at him again. "I'm sure their on there way home right now, you know To'ka won't keep them out in the rain." He said, putting his arm around his wife and smiling at her.
Keep up!
To'ka yowled back at Tahni, still moving at the same lope, Ka'va circling around them both, wanting to get home and out of the rain.

"You're right," Av'ka said quietly, leaning her head on his shoulder. She placed her hand gently on his leg, soothing some of the pain.

"Thanks my love." Tova mumbled, kissing her on the forehead as he felt the healing energy. Miri hugged her dad as she watched the rain out the window, her eyes wide.
To'ka grumbled as some of the water splashed him, and moved a little faster. He could smell the familiar scents of home and knew they'd be back in about 10 minutes or so.

Av'ka smiled at Tova before looking back out the window at the rain. She was absently playing with Miri's hair, twirling the strands of it around her fingers.
Tahni ran after him, struggling to keep up.
Why are you in such a rush?
she asked them, not really understanding.

"Yes," he smiled, pulling her close and kissing her lightly on the lips.

Tyralon began nibbling on some of the cooked deer, the taste enhanced by his new senses and mouth.
"Well, how long should we stay here until continuing on?" Tyralon asked.

"Well...," Val'ran said, trailing off for a moment while he tried to think of what to say, "hell, I just hope you'll like it," he shrugged, figuring he might as well just go with this and see where it leads.

Miri looked up and smiled widely before running over to the window and bouncing in place. "Their almost home!" She said, clapping her hands. "We should probably get them a few towels." Tova said, and started to stand, only to bite back a curse as the storm messed with his leg more.
I don't like to be in the trees during a storm like this.. you can smell the lightening coming.
To'ka called back at her, and Ka'va yowled as a crack of thunder split the skies, then a bolt of lightening slammed into a tree branch above them, the limb crashing down onto the side of the path.
Told you!
To'ka growled, seeing lights in the distance as they approached the house.

Llynarai bit her lip and looked out the small window, not really sure of what to say. Underneath the table Shiboo lay on his back, purring and rubbing his face on Llynarai's shoe.

"Sit," Av'ka said, kissing Tova on the nose and gently soothing his leg more. "Let's go get them towels then Miri," she smiled, walking upstairs with the little girl.
Tahni growled in reply, switching out of her tiger form as soon as she was near the house. "Hey," she called out, opening the front door and pulling her hood down. Av'ka smiled and ran down the stairs with Miri, throwing a towel at each of them.

"Dunno," he grinned, kissing her neck. "Kinda late dough, maybe we should get some sleep.."

To'ka and Ka'va stopped outside of the house and shook themselves, sending water spraying around them before they padded into the house behind Tahni and shifted back into their troll-elf forms. "We're back!" To'ka called, catching the towel Miri tossed at him with a giggle then passed another one to Ka'va who kissed her younger sister then walked into the living room, and crouched down by her father.
"Your in pain again ain't ya Da?" She asked and he nodded. "Be right back with the hot water bottle." She told him and headed for the kitchen. "How did it go?" Tova asked as To'ka came into the room. "Good. Tahni is changing more, we got a nice doe, and brought back some meat, bones and the skin." He told his father who nodded. "Put the meat into the icebox, the bones into the basement, and the skin into your mother's storage room." Tova said, and To'ka nodded, patting his father on the shoulder as he went past.

Suddenly, Val'ran thought of something.
"'Ey," Val'ran said, slapping the table, "how about a game? Nothing wrong with a little fun," he said.
"We'll see who has the more accurate shot," Val'ran taunted.

Tahni sighed and dried herself off, shaking her braids and rubbing the towel over her skin. "What can I do?" she asked, looking at her parents. "That's a pretty big storm," Tahni chuckled, just as lightning streaked across the sky.
Av'ka smiled. "Why don't you change into something less wet and pick up the towels?" she said, setting out snacks for all of them.

Tyralon looked at Maria for a long moment, his senses rising. He got up and walked over to her, taking her and kissing her suddenly. After he blinked a few times, Tyralon looked at Maria.

"Hey Ka, hand over your pack." To'ka said, poking his head into the kitchen and seeing her filling the water bottle for their father. "By the door right beside you." She told him and he took it, opened it and took the bones out, then put the pack back down. He took off his own and stocked the deer meat into the ice box and closed it.
"Hurry up, I think Dad needs that." To'ka told her as thunder rumbled again. He went down the hall way and into the basement with the bones and stacked them in a corner with the other bones the family had collected over the years.
Ka'va went into the living room, the water bottle wrapped in a hot towel and gently put it on her father's leg. "Thanks Ka." Tova muttered, relaxing back into the couch.
