Tova squeezed her hand. "Guess it had to happen." He said with a mock smile, looking up at her. "Oh well, maybe the next one will go back to normal." He laughed, sticking his tongue out at her. To'ka sat up and shook his head, and moved towards the house.

"Leftovers are good!" Miri agreed and sat at the table, waiting for the food.

Val'ran felt his skin tinge slightly at Llynarai's touch, though it relaxed him.

"Well, let's just go back inside for now, it's getting cold out here," Val'ran said.

"Alright," Llynarai nodded, staying where she was for a moment before pulling away and picking up the bottle of rum. She took another gulp of it since she was still nervous, but a calm had settled over her and she wasn't sure why.

"Alright, here you go Squirt," Tahni smiled, warming up the food and placing it on the table. "It might be hot so make sure to blow on it, I'm going to go check on Ka'va," she said, heading upstairs.

"Whatever, you're worse than a child," Av'ka grinned at him, sticking her own tongue out. "Don't make me use these tusks, they're sharp you know!"

Sparkhowl followed the man as he walked down a empty side street. "To easy." He thought as one of his shadow blades slid out of his sleeve and held it in his hand. Sparkhowl jumped off the roof and stabbed the man in the neck slamming him into the ground. He reached the into the mans backpack and pulled out a rolled up note. He opened it and read it over. "Stupid dragons." He said to the corpse then crawled up the walls back onto the roof before running off.

"Oh I know they are.. you proved that before." Tova grinned and reached over, grabbing her around the waist and pulled her over to him. "And while I might be a child, at least it's a nice one." He said, holding her close.

To'ka stepped into the kitchen and saw Miri eating and stuck his head into the icebox, pulling out a piece of meat. "Mm, chilled meat." He said, and wiggled his eyebrows at Miri who giggled. He pulled a pan down and put it top of the stove, adding in the meat to cook it.

Ka'va murmured in her sleep, wrapped up in a cocoon of her blankets.

Val'ran walked into the lower decks and into the ship, glancing over his shoulder to see if Llynarai had followed.

"I'm going to put up my ocarina and such at my room if that's alright," Val'ran said to the huntress.

"Um, yeah, sure," Llynarai said quietly, unable to take her eyes off him. She took another quick drink of the rum and caught up with him, linking her fingers around his shyly.

"Nice? You? Don't make me laugh," Av'ka grinned, planting a kiss on his lips. "Our children must think this is all we do," she laughed.

Tahni entered Ka'va's room, kneeling beside her bed quietly. "Hey, Kav, you awake?" she asked, touching her shoulder gently.

"Well..." To'ka said with a grin, sitting up and kissing her back. "They might be right." He murmured.

"No." Came the voice from the blankets.

Val'ran felt something grab his hand, his assassin instincts telling him to react. He managed to restrain himself though, seeing it was Llynarai. He gave an awkward smile to her, taking out a key and stopping at door to unlock it.

"It'll just be a second," Val'ran said, not wanting to keep the huntress waiting long.

"Okay," Llynarai said, waiting at the doorway because she didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable. She leaned against the doorframe, smiling to herself as Shiboo purred and rolled on the ground by her feet.

"Bah," Av'ka grinned, pulling out of his grip and standing up. "You're horrible."

Tahni smiled. "How you feeling? You did good out there, mom and dad are proud of you."

"But you agreed to be my mate anyways." Tova said, and stood up, putting his arms around her. He remembered the dream and looked down at her. "You... don't regret it do you?" He asked quietly.

"Like my head is about to split in half." Ka'va mumbled, keeping her head out of the light. "Could you maybe make me some willowbark tea, and possible close the shutters? The light is kinda of painful." She whimpered, pulling the covers tighter over her head.

There was a crash from below, followed by a long suffering sigh sound.

Val'ran put away his knives, poisons, and any other weapons he had on him and shoved it all onto a shelf. He also placed the ocarina on a stand before brushing himself off. He went back to the doorway, seeing Llynarai and now Shiboo.

"So..," Val'ran said, scratching his head and wondering what he should do now.

"So?" Llynarai asked, a smile on her lips. "Let's do something then," she shrugged, walking over and wrapping her arms around him. "Sorry if... if this is too weird.." she mumbled. "I just... want to be close to you.." she said, her voice trailing off.

"Regret it?" she asked, her brows drawn together as she pulled back to look at him. "Why would I regret this?" Av'ka said, biting her lip. "Why would you think that?"

"Yeah, sure thing kid," Tahni smiled, walking over and closing the shutters and heading downstairs. She heard and crash and jumped down the rest of the stairs. "What happened?" she asked as she walked into the kitchen.

"I had a dream this morning... recalling our first time together..." Tova said and sighed, shaking his head. "I know it's a stupid thing to think of but well...." He trailed off there, not sure how to put it into words.

"It's fine Tiger, just watch your step." To'ka said, a brush in hand as he sweeped up the plate Miri had been using. "She got a little too energetic and knocked the plate off." To'ka said, smiling at his sister who looked sheepish. "How's Ka?" He asked, looking up at Tahni.

"It's alright," Val'ran said with a sly grin, "I'm rather enjoying it," he said, though his face reddening slightly when he said that, mainly just a bit nervous.

"Well, that's good.." she said, looking up at him shyly, feeling her cheeks blush. "So, um, what should we do now?" she asked him, biting her lip slightly.

Av'ka smiled and cupped Tova's face in her hands. "I love you," she smiled. "I wouldn't have offered if I didn't feel the same," she said quietly, blushing slightly as she thought back to it. "I wouldn't trade anything in the world for you or our family, you know that."

Tahni shrugged. "Sore," she said, stepped around the shards of the plate. "She wants me to make her some tea, so I'm going to. It was really hard on her."

Sparkhowl walked into the caverns and walked down one of the alley ways making his way back to the hideout. He knocked on a wall and it opened revealing a path inside. He entered as it closed and walked down the hallway passing other assassins. Soon he stood infront of a desk. "Here are the documents Sir." He said handing the notes to the human behind the desk. "Good work shadow. Go get some rest your next assignment will take you across the sea." He said then Sparrkhowl walked away and back to the room he had here.

Val'ran bit the inside of his cheek before looking back at Llynarai. He wondered if this was too big of a risk, but figured everything had been a risk. Val'ran tilted his head slightly, leaning in to kiss Llynarai one more time.

"I know that deep down." Tova said quietly, staring back at her. "I guess I just need to hear it every once in a while." He murmured, kissing her gently."And I'm glad you don't complain that all of our children seem to be born in the same month." He said with a grin, resting his forehead against her's.

"I bet. You saw that reaction the first time." To'ka said, sweeping up the last of the shards and putting them into the rubbish bin. "Alright squirt, you can get down now." He told her and she got off the chair and headed off towards the living room. "The willowbark is top shelf on the left." He told her, putting his cooked meat onto a plate and taking a seat.

Llynarai kissed Val'ran, her head and her emotions swimming. She ran her hands up his back, pressing herself against him lightly, just wanting to be close to him. It was amazing how quickly things could change.

"I would never complain," Av'ka smiled, tilting her head to kiss him. "Never."

"Thanks," Tahni said, reaching up and grabbing the small container. She filled the kettle and sat on the counter while she waited for it to boil. "So you can already heal yourself then?" she asked, grabbing a cookie from the jar on the counter and munching on it.
