Linmarion bit back a laugh as he resisted the urge to shuffle into a more comfortable position, not wanting to disturb Mary.
Artemis shivered as a chill ran down his spine. He didn't know why that happened or what had caused it, all he knew is that something really bad had just happened. His hands came to rest on his weapons.

"What is wrong?" she whispered, anxiously peering into the darkness of the forest. "What happened?"

Artemis remained silent, and his eyes slowly stared into oblivion, before he snapped back into reality. He felt a force pushing him to where and what happened. He took off in that direction, having a feeling that he was going towards it, not away from it.

Artemis froze at the sight. He stood rigid, his weapons slowly dropping to the floor. He legs gave way, and he fell to his knees.

Taelani turned, bow at the ready, searching for the attacked. When she had concluded that they were safe, she sighed and began looking the half-elf over, pouring the haling magic of Elune into him.

Artemis managed to raise his arm. "L-look." he stuttered.
There, on the bloodstained grass, lay three children, a man and a woman. Each one of them had been literally torn limb from limb, and their heads laid in a line, still pouring out thick red liquids. All over the body parts there were deep scratches, and what appeared to be bite marks.

Artemis covered his mouth and nose and moved forward towards the bodies. He gulped and turned back at Taelani. Trying not to throw up, he uttered the words, "There's... cultist insignias... carved into them..."
