Azeroth 20 Years Later (Completed RP)
Return to board index
"Cool," Llynarai smiled, nodding slightly, her cheeks still red.
This relationship crap is hard..
she thought as she bit the inside of her cheek rather nervously. She looked at Val'ran for a few moments, then pressed her lips lightly to his.
Val'ran hadn't really expected that reaction, but then again he hadn't expected this conversation either. He lightly kissed Llynarai back, wanting to block everything else out right now besides them.
"Indeed," Mary smiled, setting her plate aside on the bed, for fear that she would drop it if she tried to set it on the table. She smiled and leaned up against Linmarion.
"I see," Taelani nodded. "What a perfect time to get there..." she sighed.
Base nodded and returned to the funeral.
Garos and Zala
"I.. don't know." Zala murmured, shaking her head as she continued to watch the three.
Garos blinked back tears of his own as he continued to heal the damage below the surface, wondering how Praey would react when she realized her limbs were going to be scarred... then realized she would just continue on as she always did; she was strong after all. The shaman closed his eyes and held onto the troll woman's hands lightly, pouring more energy into her.
Dennis Lobo Hendricks
The army moved towards the Undercity, the dark edifice rising in the distance. Lobo grinned as he saw the Prince riding among his people, talking quietly to them, bolstering their strength and moral.
Kalistra and Kaesar Sunstorm
The force of dragons continued their flight north, Kali dozing in the saddle and Kaesar kept watch around them as they flew.
Blood Leader Nathalon
Nathalon turned his nose up in disgust. "This is a foul stench. Never have i smelt such a thing" he said, as a few others coughed. "How long until Tirisfal, young ones?" he called to the twins, almost mocking them.
((ooc - bury, unless your Nathalon is an elf... the twins have a few centuries on you heh))
Kalistra and Kaesar Sunstorm
"A few more hours." Kaesar growled, his hands twitching on the reins, wanting to drive his axe into the annoying person's face. The dark Paladin continued to watch, his eyes narrowed against the low afternoon sun.
Character : Linmarion / Artemis / Garnex / Lanrin
Location : Shadowprey / Darkshore / Darkshore/ Darkshore
Linmarion smiled to himself as he took Mary's empty plate which was void except for a few crumbs and set it on the table. He put his arms around the human. "What are you thinking about?"
"I feel that we should pay our respects." muttered Artemis to the two Kal'Dorei, bowing his head and saying prayer for the dead.
Garnex bit back tears, staring around at all the sobbing people, mostly trolls. Children killed, families torn apart, love destroyed...
Lanrin silently put away his harmonica and gazed out upon the fires. Their crackling was the only sound at the moment. He leaned down and stroked the pregnant Nether.
She's soon going to give birth
, he thought.
((Didn't get time to really post before at home... I think I'll add a bit now that I've gotten to reread it with more clarity.))
Base sighed, watching Praey reduced to that state.
He rarely felt emotions anymore. At least, he rarely felt much emotion. He loved his family. He loved his people. Yet he hardly felt grief, and things like anger and guilt were almost foreign to him. These times had been particularly trying, but he still felt so little right now. Only thin sadness on behalf of Praey and the others.
Perhaps that's what was needed. The people needed someone who could do what was needed to be done.
And yet he felt so distant from them now.
Zi'kumi sat and watched as Yo'kuno held his cousin and "sister." She sighed quietly. Her parents had died long ago, and she had no family. She felt remote and alone.
She was being selfish, she thought. She had no one to lose, but so many
lost people dear to them. If she wasn't being part of the problem, she was only being part of the problem.
But what could she do? She was not a healer. She wasn't spiritual. She was just a lowly tattooist. How could she help anyone?
Ja'kala looked as his brother's missing arm and sighed.
It hurt him to look at it. To think about it. His brother had given so much for their people, and he had hardly given at all.
He glanced at Zi'kumi, his childhood friend, and sighed again. So many had been hurt, and he hadn't even been there. He wised that he could help his people. He wished that he could have helped them when the attack had happened, and he wished he could help them now.
He approached his father.
"What ken Ah do?" he asked. "Ah wan' ta help."
"I don't know," Base answered, rubbing his forehead. "I think they will just have to heal. I do't think there is very much we can do."
Ja nodded and sighed, looking back into the fire.
Character: Una Ji'ro
Una frowned sadly as she stood next to Base. He just seemed so distant at times like this. She wondered what he was thinking.
"Why dun ya go keep Tza'tali's famileh companeh," she answered Ja. "Ah tink dat dey cud use a friend righ' now, an Yo'kuno knows joo," she nodded.
Ja nodded and went to stand near Yo'kuno, looking down at Zane and Zala.
Una sighed, hoping that Base would be okay. He hadn't spoken his thoughts to her since the attack, and she worried that he was internalizing it too much. She feared he blamed himself.
(( No Mary or Taelani? D: ))
Sylos watched the fire burn as he was lost in thought.
"So many lost. How many more will be lost before this is over?"
He thought to himself.
Tova and Av'ka looked at the ruins of their home and he sighed, pulling his wife close. "We'll get it fixed." He said quietly, kissing her on the top of the head as he looked around the yard and shook his head. "I can call on a few favours and get the wisps to help us rebuild; and To'ka and Tahni will probably help as well." He murmured, and felt Av'ka nod, and he chuckled a little. "Well, we were going to add an addition to it any ways." He said, and heard her laugh a little, and the two pulled apart a little and walked around the yard.
Llyn, Tza, Kuno & Praey
Llynarai finally pulled away after a few moments, enjoying the taste and feel of Val'ran. She smiled, propping her head up with her elbow. "So.." she said quietly, biting her lip and looking at him. "Anything on your mind?"
Praey continued to cry, oblivious now to everything around her. She just wanted it to go away. Never before had she felt this much.. not even when she lost Yo'ou. She felt... dead.. it hurt so much..
Tza held onto Praey, glancing over at Kuno, Zala and Zi, who were now joined by Ja. She smiled weakly at them then reached over, placing one of her hands on top of Garos's and helping him heal.
"Hey Ja," Yo'kuno said quietly, nodding slightly at the other male. He shifted Zane in his arms slightly and returned his mom's smile before finally looking away from Praey. "How you been holdin' up?" he asked Ja. He looked at Zi'kumi, and seeing the distant look on her face, pulled her closer to him, planting a kiss on her cheek.
Garos and Zala
Zala looked up at the new comer and hid behind Kuno's leg, feeling a little shy before looking back over at the three adults, watching them all and absently playing with her brown locks.
"She's going inside herself." Garos said quietly to Tza'tali, feeling the energy from his wife helping him to keep healing Praey. "We need to keep that from happening; talk with her, pull her back to us." He told her and looked into Praey's face, seeing the same beauty he had seen long ago. "Praey, you can't give up; Zane still needs you, your sister needs you, Kuno needs." He started to speak, trying to break through the wall of pain and suffering he could feel around her.
"I don't know," Mary shrugged. "Nothing, I guess."
"Meh... I don't have anyone to pay my respects to," she shrugged.
Character: Ja'kala & Zi'kumi
Ja'kala shrugged wearily at the question. "Not too bad," he answered. "Lost a few friends, but my family is still whole, so I'm fairly grateful."
Zi'kumi smiled, kissing Yo'kuno's cheek.
Horseworthy took one last look back to the fires in the distance,
I may never see them again
he thought, he let out a sigh. He knew that their task, to defend Azeroth from its enemies came before their friends and family. Perhaps one day, Azeroth would be free from tyranny and there would be peace.
Lektri noticed Vagrin's sad expression. "What's the matter?" he asked his friend. "I didnae knew we wou'd hav' ter be sep'rated again so soon, fighting ain't the same on yer own" said Vagrin sadly. "Still, we have each other, and I'm sure we shall see our friends again" said Lektri optimistically. "Thanks Lektri, what wou'd I do if I didn' have ye to cheer me up" replied Vagrin. "I am sure you could cope, my friend" said Lektri, with a twinkle in his eye.
Valanayia looked around through the sadness to see if she could find Vinymnev, then she saw her with two other people. "Vinymnev" she called when her friend was within earshot.
Vinymnev looked around at the great pyres. She saw the bodies of countless many go up in flames. Not just men and women, but even children. "I believe bringing comfort to those who are left may be more useful then praying, we can pay our respects afterwards, the dead won't be forgotten" she said to Artemis seeing him pray. Then she turned to Taelani, "you can pay your respects to the dead nevertheless, friends sometimes have a way of turning up dead when you least expect it. You could always comfort the living instead". Then hearing her name being called Vinymnev looked up and saw Valanayia standing on her own,
Where is Horseworthy, Vagrin and Lektri
she thought. Then Vinymnev deciding to change the topic. "A friend of mine is here, would you like me to introduce her or have you got other things to do?" she said to Artemis and Taelani.
(( Time to try and get a worgen character right... ))
One of the pack that Bloodhowl and Lobo had been a member of, Blackbite took sadistic pleasure in the suffering of his fellow packmembers.
So they banished him.
He's a talented rogue, and used darker magics to make himself even more powerful. He now returns to Gilneas for his final revenge.
Michal looked down at the worgen pups running and playing. He grinned, his human and worgen sides had long ago reached an agreement, and after that they had become more and more alike. Now they had become so similar that they were practically one person.
"Time for a little payback," he growled, a grin on his face. He lifted the barrel of his gun. "Rockabye..."
((lol sad^, and several of my chars are going to Gilneas, your child killing days are over, you're going downtown! ;) ))
Blackbite whistled as he skinned the worgen children in the shadows. "Hmm, I wonder if I have enough leather for a cloak..."
He tried it on. "Looks about right." He grinned madly. "Hopefully I'll be able to find enough for a matching pair of boots.
Dennis Lobo Hendricks
Lobo howled as his squad charged forward, the worgen leaping into the air and slamming into the leading edge of Forsaken foot soldiers and he grinned viciously as he spun his weapon in a circle, the massive blade cutting down those around him. He howled again as his packs mates crashed down around him, driving the undead back.
The group spun and fled away from the Forsaken, hearing a cheer as they were followed. The worgen got about 100 feet out in front of the undead and split apart as several massive bolts shot through where they had been, the heads aflame with magical fire, killing a large group of the Forsaken.
Lobo howled again as the arrows of the Blood elves sang, and peppered the Forsaken forces, dropping more of them, the undead screeching as the Light infused arrowheads tore into them.
Blackbite spied two more pups, and he quickly snuck over to them and grabbed them both. "Now, which one should I eat first," he grinned.
No, wait, I have a better idea
. He grinned, then set the male pup down.
"Tell the Alpha that Blackbite is back, and unless they want to have this little @#$%^ returned to them in the form of a
, Lobo and Bloodhowl need to meet me in the mountains north of King's Gate. Understood?"
The boy nodded, and ran off. He glared at the girl with a mad grin on his face. "For your sake they'd better come, or the pack will be reciving a donation of
with a not so mysterious ingredient."
(( I think I've hit an all time new low... ))
