"I'm afraid I won't be too much help, I was at Anvilmar when it happened. However I do know you were attacked by an old... enemy, but he was killed."

He turned to walk out. "Oh never mind, she's right here. So much for my fabled eyesight," he said, and shut the door.

Character: Dag'rema
Location: Jaedenar
"Good," Dag'rema nodded curtly. "For their sake I hope they're pure. If they're tarnished in some way, I might be forced to purify what I can and discard the rest..." she chuckled. "Now, help me get the ritual set up. I want the prisoners tied down, spaced evenly in a circle. After that, a twelve pointed star must be drawn on the ground, with one of the prisoners at each point. Once we are ready, I will begin the incantation. Once I start, you must cut the throat of the first prisoner, and let her blood spill into the circle. Kill another every ten seconds. Once they are all dead, I will have finished the incantation, and I will cut out the orb. Understand?" she asked. "No mistakes."
Character: Taelani
Location: Sea
"I don't know what will happen," Taelani shrugged. "For all my study in the priesthood, what lies beyond the veil has always been a mystery to me. I probably won't find out until I cross over myself..."

Curho Demoneye
Location: Jadenarr
"Of course, milady," Curho said, nodding. "I will not fail you." Curho continued to help her inside, bringing her down to the room that was used for such rituals. He quickly summoned up Zangthak, commanding him to began bringing in the prisoners and arrage and prepare them as Dag'rema requested. With a moan of pain, the voidwalker moved off to do as it was commanded.

Orb of Fel
Felwood
The orb waited expectantly, once the ritual started it would start with what it had been preparing for ever since it first was put inside of Dag'rema.

Curho Demoneye
Location: Jadenarr
With Zangthak's assistance, Curho brought in the purest of the many he'd captured - hand the rest over to the other members of the Burning Blade to do with as they wished - and arranged them in the circle as had been instructed. He then took a peice of black chalk - made of hardened demon blood, perfect for a ritual like this - and drew the star as commanded.
He then took a ritual dagger and kneeled next to the first prisoner. "I am ready, milady," he said. "Tell me when I am to begin."

The orb was close to bursting with all the energy inside of it. Once the knife came down on the first prisoner it would begin...

"Begin," Dag'rema ordered, beginning to chant. She closed her eyes and focused, reigning in the power inside her and beginning to seal off the orb from the rest of her spirit.

Curho quickly cut the night elf's neck and moved onto the next. After waiting ten seconds he cut her neck, and repeated the process exactly and precisely along each one of the captives.

Dag'rema continued chanting, but quickly caught up the souls of the dead elves before they fled away to the other side. She didn't immediately absorb them, but shackled them to the star, to be consumed later.

Curho Demoneye

After nearly two minutes of slicing open the necks of the night elves and letting their blood pool around and within the star as ordered Curho moved onto the final. He grinned, and counted down the remaining time.
Five...
Four...
Three...
Two...
One.
He sliced the final elf's neck open, watching the light slowly leave her eyes and her warm blood flow from her body to mix with the already spilled liquid within the circle. All that remained now was for Dag'rema to finish her incantation.

Character: Dag'rema
Location: Jaedenar
Dag'rema opened her eyes and spoke the last word of the incantation, lifting her ritual dagger and raising it toward her chest. Immediately, she plunged it into her chest and gasped as her heart rate spiked and adrenaline surged into her veins. Her face contorted with pain as she began to cut at the orb, ripping through flesh and skin and bone and blood as she worked the sphere out. It was difficult. The orb seemed almost reluctant to be torn out, but she continued ripping at it's hiding place.
Drawing on the souls, she began severing its ties to her body. She felt it prying at her mind, trying to stop her. But she just tore at her chest more fiercely, taking care to avoid her heart, but still doing considerable damage to many of her other vital organs. She felt her lungs begin to fill with blood, and she knew she had to work fast. Once she was satisfied that the orb couldn't hide any longer, she dropped her dagger to the bloody floor, reached into her mutilated chest, and wrenched the orb free.
She threw the orb from the circle and coughed. Blood came with the cough, and not a small amount of it. She felt dizzy and ready to collapse. But she had to finish, or she would die.
She pulled the captive souls into her, breathing a sigh of relief at the feeling. She felt her wounds healing, at least to some degree. Finally, she pulled the liferoot and fel lotus from her bloody robe and dropped them to the floor. She watched as they mixed with the violet blood on the ground and finally picked them up again. She whispered a second incantation crushed the herbs in her palm, placed them in her mouth and chewed.
The taste was foul. She had come to enjoy the coppery taste of blood and the acidic rush of Fel, but together with roots, dirt, and uncooked plant, it was unpleasant, to say the least. Finally she swallowed, and let the power coursing through her body--the power of purity cut short--take over. Her wounds sealed themselves up, her flesh repaired itself, her pain turned to ecstasy.
"There..." she smiled. "Good work, Curho..." she grinned, turning her attention to the orb on the ground.
