"I see..." the lead sentinel nodded. "Well, I hope you don't mind if we ask him a few more questions before he leaves. He's is still technically our prisoner, and the heads of our government would be very interested in knowing more about him."

"Thank you, Lady Morrowind." bowed Linmarion. "Approximately when will he be free to go?"

"Certainly," Taelani smiled, walking to the inn. "Whatever helps our people..." she added, walking inside. She spotted a table of adventurers and walked over.

"Hello," she nodded, getting their attention. "Our people need help. Certainly you have heard of the recent abductions?"

"Of course," one of the elves nodded. "Any news on that?"

"Indeed," Taelani frowned. "New word has come about that has revealed the trolls to the north as the perpetrators. One was captured just recently who confessed."

"I never did like having those trolls so close to our lands," another elf grunted. "And now I hear that they've moved even closer."

"I know..." Taelani answered. "They're kidnapping and raping our sisters. We have no coice but to drive them back."

"Why don't you go to the government for help?" a human paladin seated with the other adventurers asked.

Taelani narrowed her eyes at the human. "The government is understandably caught up in fighting Deathwing and his minions. If we don't act soon, how many more of our sisters will be kidnapped, raped and killed by the beasts?"

"Well, I'm always up for some troll killing..." the first elf chuckled. "I've been to Zul'gurub, Zul'aman, Zul'drak, Zul'farrak...I'm practically a professional troll exterminator..." he laughed.

"Well that's good," Taelani laughed, "because we have a tribe of trolls to exterminate..." she chuckled. "You got any friends that would want to help our cause?"

"Oh yeah," the human chuckled. "I'll send out some letters, see if we can't get a raid arranged."

"Thank you so much," Taelani smiled. "I'll see you fellows soon!"

"It won't be long," the sentinel nodded. "Now, let me just return to the interrogation and he'll be free to go in no time."

Taelani smiled and began walking over toward another table, where a group of sentinels were off duty.

"Hi there," Taelani smiled. "I don't know if you were listening before, but something urgent has come up in regard to our people's safety."

"Yeah, the abductions..." one of the sentinels nodded. "Heard about that. That troll we captured says he knows?"

"Yes," Taelani nodded. "He said that it was the trolls that were kidnapping our sisters."

"Yeah, that's what I heard..." the sentinel answered. "I knew those trolls were no good."

"Well, we're trying to arranged a party to drive them out of our lands," Taelani answered. "We were wondering if you were interested."

"Yeah..." the sentinel nodded, looking at the other sentinels at the table. "Those Horde savages have been encroaching on our lands ever since they sailed across the sea. And our leaders have just been letting it happen. I was stationed at Silverwing Hold two decades back..." the sentinel grunted. "I've seen how terrible the Horde can be..." she shivered slightly. Taelani felt a cold sweat on her brow as well. "That human... Wrynn... The first one, that is... He had the right idea. Kill 'em all. Every last damn one..." she muttered.

"So you'll help us?" Taelani asked, hopefully.

"Of course," the sentinel nodded with a grin. "I'll see who else I can get to help as well..."

"Thank you so much," Taelani smiled. "We'll need as much help as we can. Their tribe is small, but it's not helpless."

"You can count on us for help," the sentinel smiled. "Anything for our sisters. They will be avenged."

Taelani bowed and walked away.

"Well, this is going well," Taelani smiled to Lyriel. "Soon we'll have enough to actually make a dent."

Lady Morrowind saluted back and began walking back to the Lodge.

"Perfect, you're doing very well!" she smiled in response. "I just hope we can save some of the women when we get there..." she bit her lip, trying not to think about what they must be going through. "Otherwise it would all be for naught."

He walked around trying to find who he was looking for but after a good time gave up and decided to head to the inn and rest a bit before departing. He stepped into the inn and found a spot and collapsed into the chair resting his tired hooves.

"No it wouldn't," Taelani reassured. "Remember, even if we can't save our sisters that hve already been taken, we can at least take the blood of their captors as payment, and in the process save further dozens, or hundreds, even, from the same fate..." she nodded. "We'll begin our march at nightfall, I think. The trolls are nightsleepers, and if we attack in the night, we can catch them off guard."

"Indeed," Taelani smiled. "And with the help of the others, we might be able to completely drive them out. Oh, I can't wait..." she grinned. "They'll finally learn that they cannot expect us to just roll over and take their abuse any longer."

"Indeed, we have been preoccupied but the threat can no longer be ignored." she agreed. "Like you say, we're not helpless and we most certainly won't let three fingered, tusked monsters displace us from our land..."

"Certainly not," Taelani agreed. "Nor will we stand by and let them rape our sisters with impunity. They must be punished with all the strength we can muster. If we do not make an example of them, then it will continue happening."

"Hello again," the sentinel nodded to the troll as she entered the lodge.

"Greetings," Base nodded in return, looking up from his book.

"I just have a few questions, and then you can go free," Morrowind smiled. "The foremost of which would be: How did you learn our language? It is strictly forbidden to teach our tongue to others."

"I am aware of that," Base nodded. "I learned the hard way. I listened. I listened a lot. I have been listening to your people since I was very young, more than thirty years ago."

"I see," Morrowind nodded. "How many of your people also speak the language?"

"Not many," Base nodded. "A few of the traders know it. Not much commerce goes on between our people, but there is some. Speaking your language helps."

"And what do they normally speak?"

"A dialect of Zandali," Base answered. "My people came from Stranglethorn Vale several thousand years ago."

"I see," the sentinel paused. "And you're their chieftain, then?"

"I am," Base nodded, " but not by blood. My mate is the true chieftain."

"Interesting," Morrowind nodded, writing down some notes. "What about rumours about canibalism among trolls?"

"I'll be honest," Base shrugged, "my tribe once took part in that custom. However, I have done my best to steer them away from that. It's a sensitive issue, and I don't want to get into any wars over it."

"Well then," the sentinel smiled. "You are free to go. There was an elf looking for you, too. Linmarion."

"Ah yes," Base nodded. "Thank you. I'll find him right away," he smiled, getting up and walking out."

"I say we mount their heads as an example of what we do to rapists and dirty scums such as them..." she snarled. "Women and children too, I'm sure they have had their fair share of stolen elves."

"All of them," Taelani agreed. "They must be made example of. No one will ever forget what the elves do to those who treat us in that manner. The Horde will come to fear us. Never again will one of our sisters be subjected to... that."

Curho muttered an incantation, forcing a spell into the small shard and then forcing it out with another as he used the fel flames of the demon-created furnace to harnass the power of the fragment of the Hellreaver into something he could use. His fel ore sword had been shattered by his own had, and was undergoing the same treatment, slowly infusing itself with the shard.

The process was taxing, but if all went well he'd have a weapon the Legion could use to spread its corruption and destruction almost everywhere. If all didn't go well... then he might not be around to suffer the Legion's wrath for his failure.

Krista sighed and nodded. "It is sad indeed." Another member of her family dead. Well, at least it wasn't by Lobo's hand - the fact the damnable monster had been denied a kill made a twinge of a smile appear on Krista's face for no more then a second.
