[Battle Pet Question] Elementals and benefits due to weather

Hi everyone,
as far as I understand, elemental type battle pets won't get any advantages / disadvantages based on weather.
Does anyone know whether or nor this applies to their attacks as well?
Let's say I have an attack which deals +50% damage during darkness.
As far as I understand, my elemental won't count as blinded during darkness due to its type. (It won't receive positive weather effects either, will it?)
How about its attack - will it deal an additional 50% damage or does this count as part of the 'ignores all weather effects'?
Thanks! :D

If the attack gains the damage because the other creature is affected, then yes the attack gains extra damage.
For example -
Fel Flame
can cast
Scorched Earth
(so that opponent non-elemental pet counts as Burning) and then deals extra damage using
Conflagrate
.
If the attack requires that the elemental pet be buffed, then weather effects will not add that buff to the elemental pet.
For example -
Singing Sunflower
can cast
Photosynthesis
but even under sunny conditions does not gain the extra healing effect (I personally believe this is a bug, because Photosynthesis is an ability that only appears on elemental pets).

Thanks a lot gelf! :D
Actually Photosynthesis was the one I was interested about most, as it would mean a huge powerboost to the cute sunflower <3
Too bad it won't work - no point in leveling it any further then :(
