Despite the (hopefully intentional) mangling of the English language here, I'm gonna agree with this poster. Unless you aspire to be at the cutting edge of the raid scene or want to be in one of the absolute best of the best arena teams, racials are much less important than how much you enjoy playing the character race. Looks, voice, casting animations, dance, etc. are all things you'll kinda have to live with for the sum of your WoW journey.
I don't care how useful it is(and it's very useful), there's no way Escape Artist could make me enjoy playing a damned gnome.

Under water breathing good for PvE? Really? I don't recall seeing large pools of water of fights under water ... or do you mean it's good to run and hide with when you face people that cant breath under water you just dive down and wait for them to drown.
Undead is nice cause of the increase in shadow resistance and will of the forsaken. Troll for berserking (which is really nice). BELFs are quite nice even thou people dismiss them, basically in fights you are constantly building up a "free mana" pot, the drain it self doesn't really do much and the silence effect usually is just good for some trash or pvp. But in boss fights there is always nice to be able to replenish mana, you would then have say mana pot, mana gem, evocation plus spriests and shamans depending on your raid setup. There really is no such thing as to much mana regen.

If in pvp your opponent is letting you cast fireballs or frostbolts at you then they are doing something terribly terribly wrong (I'm talking arena here). Everyone with even a mild sense of survival is going to be interrupting you or losing you, I know I do.

Please list these fights, very very few come to mind and if the fear really is that bad I'm sure I'll have a dispeller/tremor totem to hand. As a mage grinding I've never had a health problem only a mana one so another moot point. The stacking of haste (berserking) under 20% (execution phase) is going to generate a lot more dps than a fear broken 1second earlier than it would have been anyway.
My point wasn’t the importance of breaking fear. My point was that both breaking fear and/or berserking are advantages that are not enough to warrant which class is a "Great PVE class" over the other. Not being feared, whether because of WotF of just because the boss doesn’t fear, allows DPS. Berskering allows 2-3 more bolts then the others but variations in damage and gear the DPS will almost be identical in the 10 min fight.
Bg's are not real PVP and unfortunately most are controlled premade match's or afk sessions which is rather boring, but your probably right extra burst on a trained target is going to help more here.
BG may not be real PvP to arena elitests but it defiantly isn’t PvE either. Other then that I agree everything you said here about arena.
Priests, warlocks and warriors have fear and getting caught in one in an arena situation can be a winning or loosing situation, sure berserking is usful here but in serious arena's breaking out of a cc is by far more important. Eventually vs. one of these classes you are going to get caught in a fear, you may not be focusing the warlock but one of his friends and he is defensively fearing or you get snared and a priest catches you in a fear, it's really not avoidable forever if these classes are around and breaking out of it without using trinket is very very very useful.
Druids are prominent in 2v2, but then again so are locks, you are eventually going to come up against these classes and WoTF is unparalleled in pvp.
I think the accuracy of who attends arena is moot topic and can be disputed more ways then proven. I can’t justify my remark about who attends.
As for being feared by 8yrd fears is subject to the same criticisms of letting a mage cast frostbolts in arena.
