You're going to want to level as ret. Mainly becuase yes, AoEing as prot is good. But its not efficient in northrend. Leveling as ret has never been easier. Continue to judge wisdom, use flash of light everytime art of war is up and you will most likely never run out of mana or health.

i agree with most here. i have a 75 prot pally.. if u want to go holy at 80 do it now.. nothing worse then having a healer in an 80 grp say i just switched to holy... u need to start now and get a feel for your new role. i have a 70 shaman and a 79 druid as well i know all about going back and forth and trying to heal not fully knowing ur new spec. i on the other hand belive prot is by far the fastest.. i challenge any ret pally to kill 30 mobs 5 at a time before i kill 30 at once.. and as for aoe grinding in northrend i just walk backwards picking up entire towns shores forests. blessing of sanc keeps mana up.. and my defenses allow me to never get hit.. i dont drink heal or eat. and tanks are always always needed. and as prot you will be able to solo any qroup quest ,,, save a few. ret pallies can solo some. but nothing is worse then sitting in general chat.. can someone help me kill this elite.. or LFM "so and so group quest"
