stamina gives you hp mate armour reduces the damage you take when youre in game click on your portrait and scroll over the agility stamina armour strength at the bottom of the page and it tells you what each of them do for your class

Armor can give you hp, for example the
Brackwater Vest
increases your Stamina by 3 when you equip it, raising your hp by 30.
Armor can also be enchanted to give extra stamina, which increases your hp by 10 per point.

Not always, as I recall, correct me if I'm wrong, that only applies to warriors.
