Blizzard on DK changes

So I load up the wowhead forums this morning and see a bunch of threads about the 'nerf' to DK's, especially to boneshield, and some people thinking DK tanking has been nerfed b/c of that.

b/f posting all these questions, since many of them have been answered already by Bliz. Pro-tip - it's a little premature to throw down your toys and threaten to respec.
There's no nerf to DK tanking, they're nerfing DK's 'oh-$%^&' buttons and compensating with a buff to base mitigation to reduce damage spikiness and make DK's easier to heal. That's overall a buff to tanking.

We know what they're
trying
to do, but what they're trying to do and what they're actually
doing
can be two different things. Are we worse off than before? Better off? That's what the discussion usually revolves around, not what Blizzard's intentions are.
