One of the things I wish Bliz would consider is to add teleporters to all the old cities similar to the ones in Shat. Trying to level a new toon now a days would make things so much quicker getting to different locations.

I beg to differ. Getting a lvl 55 DK for free is lazy. Everyone posting the suggestion that everyone should be able to make a 55 lvl toon is lazy. Porting from one city to another still requires you to travel to your destination. It still wouldn't be as handy as the mage ports are.

To get the 55 death knight you must have already levelled someone else to 55 so it seems fair. And then they are a pretty complicated class to learn.

Mr Blizz already made it much easier by lowering experience needed per level. They destoyed elite status on lots of mobs for lower levels. It´s already a pie to level up a character compared to like last year.
They really should make it harder actually so it actually will make sense again to level up Winterspring or Eastern Plaguelands...

While I do agree, that they made this game much easier, what does this have to do with the OP's idea?
Difficulty of doing quests is pretty unrelated to travel times.
