Not a bug per se - if Blizzard classifies it as Trade Goods, Wowhead won't change that unless Blizzard fixes it.

Yeah, Category: Trinkets and Equipment Slot: Trinket are two different things. If you want an entire list of trinkets, I'd use the filters.
We're probably going to improve the navigation on the website to make all of this stuff easier, though.
