Can someone 'splain an Archaelogy Oddity?
Return to board index
My Level 85 Alchemist decided that he just
to have the Vial of the Sands and started Archaeology about a week ago. To my surprise I got about a level before I hit 600 SL. I was and still am getting 34,700 XP (exclusive of the 10% Guild Bonus) in Kalimdor per shovel-up but when I tried Arch in Pandaria I only was getting 13,900 XP. This makes no sense. Can anyone explain why there is a difference in XP ?
edit:The XP's did not change after I hit 87 or 88 and all XP was rested.
maybe its an oversight by blizzard when they added MoP arch with lower exp and simply forgot too reduce the arch exp gained from the older sites.
XP values seems rather odd in general, for example me and a friend were doing Onyxia for the mount and I was receiving twice as much XP from trash mobs than I did from the boss herself.
I've also noticed weird XP values from mining and herbing.
