depends on the role that friend plays too

tanks and healers get gear upgrades a bit faster than DPS classes do most of the time
and luck plays a big part on what loot you can get your hands on, ie you're the only rogue in a kara raid and a DPS leather gloves drop, there's a big chance you'll get it

also DKP spending is important too, know how to bid DKP in raids and get items for a low price

you should really provide more info on yourself and your friend

Just wanted to step in and remind you guys that general discussion of RMT (Real Money Trade) websites is typically not allowed on the site.
