Cant see any chat, etc.

I don't know what happened, but I can't see any chat. Also, It doesn't show when I loot something, when I skill up in a profession, when I recieve an item from the mail, etc. What happened?

Do you still have the chat window outline? Are the 4-5 yellow icons on the left edge still visible? If the answer is no, than you have hit a key in error and we need to help figure it out for you. I will log on and see if I can duplicate that.

If you have the outline, is your combat log active instead of your general (chat window) being active? If so, click on the word general in the top line. If you are in general, then right click and go to settings. In other there are boxes for checking skill, loot, rep, etc. Click as many of these as you want. If this doesn't help there is always the simpler : reset chat window command, or under settings: a red command called chat default. This will at least get you back to the default, then you can activate your color coding, and such as you want.

This happens to me, too.

To fix it I type /resetchat and it is always fine afterwards. Not sure if that's your problem but it works for me.

If the other information offered here does not help you, I would also suggest resetting the user interface. If you had previously installed addons, please leave those off until this is resolved. I hope this helps! :)
