Cats, Scorpids and....... Gems!

Ive got three questions about what the Topic Title names;

Cats: Does CotW have a very strong increase in singe target dps? versus the survivability of Heart of the Phoenix?

Scorpids: Are scorpids right now the best pets, even accounting for CotW on cats?

Both pets will have maxed raid buffs, and every debuff on the boss to boost damage, generally a 25man raid.

Gems: Ive recently started my own 3v3, and we've shot upto 1700, i have the deadly gladiator's gear that supports the rating, but i have little to no idea how to gem. Right now, burst damage seems to be great but i know in the higher brackets survivability is important. Should i gem for Resilience, attack power, agility, or stamina.

alright thank you

on target dummies I've seen my scorpid who's not yet lvl 80 on par with my cat so far, so ill assume he's much more powerful at 80 with the last rank of his Scorpid Poison.

I'M level 80 you can check my link :p almost everything epic'd

I was on EJ forums and saw the scorpid numbers, and thought id tame one, all my other pets are 80, scorpid at is 77 :).

for gemming, just recall your lost games. were you lacking survability? did you not burn a druid down fast enough while he was still in caster form? did your over all damage contribute to the loss?

things like these should tell you what you need.
