Chain Heal spamming isn't the only way to heal

Too many shaman are attached to their old philosophy that chain heal and raidheal, rather than MT healing, is the only path for shaman, even in the new game. With the new WoTLK talent tree, and our insane amount of crit easily obtainable, LHW spamming
works
now.

it's being nerfed. Healing output is staying the same, but Improved Water Shield is only going to proc on 60% of your LHW crits instead of the 100% it does now.
Basically, good but nowhere near as ridiculous mana efficiency.

Good point. But we have prot heals now.
Riptide, chain, healling or lesser. Seems to be the rotation blizzard wants us to take.
riptide gives +25% chain
Chian gives +30% spell haste for healling wave & lesser Wave.
All crits give water shield orb & healing another person in raid by 30% of heal.
Have 3-min +60% healing crit + spell haste from chain.
In raiding, I haven't raided in about 6 months but I mainly used mana totems & healing wave rank 1 & 12 (back before rank changes).
Now, I'm gonna use more lesser and healing wave.
Glyphs give 20% more lesser with earthS, 20% more hp from stream totem, & healing wave heals caster.

:3 I'm so glad I'm still an mp5 healer. A friend of mine and me soloed Skadi in heroic pinnacle (kind of, the dps died before 70%) for 10 min. Another reason I still love the mp5 stacking way of healing.
