For blood specced Dks especially the armor pen is reason enough to prefer Marrowstrike. You can also jam a +16 or if you're rich +20 str gem in the slot, at which point the loss of AP becomes negligible.
Personally I use Marrowstrike for tanking, as dps Edge of Ruin is by far the better option of course. However if you haven't got that, and you can stay hit capped while using Marrowstrike, that is better than the claymore for now. Keep farming for EoR though.

You lose no tps. The weapon damage alone from Marrowstrike makes it a huge bonus over the loss of 50 said ap. Agility is a pretty solid tanking stat, while your stamina loss on base stats is made up for the fact that you have a real nice gem slot.
Marrowstrike is better for dps and tanking than the Claymore.
